One thing about me, when I walk onto a dealership I expect to be treated like royalty while there.
Treating me one way on the phone is one thing, treating me, or any costumer in person is all the different.
A slate of hand I always do is, I don't care what agreements we've made over the phone, if and when I walk onto a dealership, and no one fails to assist...I walk away, and or if another salesman assists me, than I give my business to them.
I give my business to whomever is the hungriest, not the slickest.
And that's what happened to day at a certain place.
To me, as a costumer, you're paying the salary of salesperson, as such they owe it to come up to you and make you feel valued and appreciated, if you have to instead hunt a salesperson down, than they don't deserve your money.
Cause if they don't, didn't, see enough value in you to come out and assist, than that means they're only faking it, acting nice, cordial, only and simply because you 'found a sales person' and now they only act interested in you as a person cause they might get a sale.
IF you want my hard earned labor and money, as a salesperson you'd better show interest in me long before I show interest in you.
And if you're to stupid, bias, lazy ect as a sales person to do that, than to bad.
And to consumers, careful whom you give your money to, after all you're the one paying their salary, they're not paying yours.
