If Kobe Bryant was a true role player for the Lakers, he would of retired Two years ago, and allowed the Lakers to use money now spent on him, his salary, to go towards the rebuilding process.
Sorry, but in his flailing years, Kobe is being very selfish.
And so is Steve Nash.
Being a champion is also knowing when to let go, when to walk away, and change your role, as John Elway of the Denver Broncos did...he won two championships, then walked away, or I should say crossed over into management. And the pay off has been good.
Athletes that hang on to long are in danger of changing their legacy.
Kobe needs to wise up, and so does Steve Nash...let go and let the younger players fulfill their roles.
