An oldie but goody post from 2016...see how much things have changed since then.

1. Back then could hyperlink really cool gif graphics, they were all over the place, but now can't really do that cause google and FB and ect own and control all the traffic and images practically, so that practice has been done away with for the most part.

Google is like the Cartels of South America, who control all the Narcotic routes, and you have to go through them, to get your drugs across, well that's equavelant to what google has done with web traffic, they're like the web traffic cartel, and have to go through them to get your links displayed.
Be we, the stupid people, gave google and FB and Twitter their power, we should take it back by creating our own back door paths to information.

Also, funny thing about Photobucket, which has sank like a bucket of rocks, most peoples images they simply delete, or hide, notice how my images are so profound, artsy, that rather than delete them, they use my images as a way to advertise their site?....amazing.

My art is just that good I guess.

Yep, a lot has changed in 4 years since above was posted, but as far as internet goes, I think it's gotten worse, way worse, in that now information doesn't flow as freely as it use to.

You do a google search and only get like .0005% of all information out there, it's as if they only promote links, sites, that pay them to, the wealthy looking after the wealthy, nothing new about that I suppose, but I remember at first when the internet was considered a back alley, low class place where non important average citizens communicated, now look at it.

All searched staged, all photos on google image search 'Stock Photos', gone are the organic pics you use to could find years ago...google has destroyed everything it touches, buys and aquires, as far as I'm concerned.

All these tech companies created by Neo-hippies who were against the system, now they are the system...how ironic...they've become that which they use to rail against when in college.

This forum like a museum of time, I mean you can even see how much the internet has changed since 2013 in that back then could hyperlink all sorts of cool images, but now, google, the traffic Cartel of the web, and other such greedy, cruel type of enterprises, have ended that.

Now it's all about 'greed', not even money, but greed, blood thirsty greed in that these people already have more wealth than can ever spend, so it's not even about money to them, just blood thirsty greed.

And for the life of me don't understand why people, common people, still continue to willingly give twitter/google/FB all their information, thus power.

As such, the good ole days of the net over, and now the net can be as lonely as outer space, people as distant from one another as the stars now.

Oh well, at least the Zone still here to keep past ways alive.

Like a time machine, this forum will be studied one day by those in the future.
