One thing for sure, Hamas is getting way more than they bargained for. And they're getting no help from other jihadist. I guess they thought Israel would just stop after a few weeks, as they usually do, but not this time.

Sometimes I just wish that full blown war would just go ahead and break out between Israel and Iran, like just get it over with already.

Israel booby traps pagers with explosives in Lebonan
Yeah, this story is a few days old, they've since also booby trapped walkie talkies with bombs as well. Many people maimed, injured, and killed.
Has Israel gone to far?
Republicans and media conservatives in the U.S. are like bloodthirsty and seem to love the carnage. Totally makes the pro-life crowd seem totally hypercritical to others.
Right wingers in the U.S. just label any group of people they don't like as terrorists, which in their minds gives them a green light to just slaughter people randomly and justifiably.

How would a war with Iran be fought? Or how would Iran fight Israel, and expect to win? In the past, wars were won through large, massive land invasions, the conquering of the 'enemies' territory using large amounts of ground troops, and then capturing or neutralizing the enemy's nation leader or leaders.
Iran would have to mobilize at least 300,000 troops, and then transport them through Iraq, Syria and or Jordan. All those nations would have to give Iran permission to do that. There would have to also be long supply lines, etc. Is that plausible? Or would it just, as most wars are today, be a war of missiles and destroying key infostructures?
I just looked at a map of the two nations, and my gosh, Israel would barely be a large city in Iran in comparison to size.
So, when people say 'war' these days, in 2024 what do they really mean? What type of war would it be? A tit for a tat type of war, like we see now, or an all and out invasion of another nation type of war. Israel is obviously at a disadvantage when it comes to projecting foot soldiers across multiple borders. I don't think they have enough ground forces or resources to sustain a long-term Invasion of Iran, the citizens themselves would rise up.
So, basically, this will be a war of missiles, as we're already seeing...a tit for a tat type of battle.
