Basic internet, web page, computer science terms and functionality
It's amazing how little most of us know about internet technology and as such fail to tap into 80% more of what the net, our computers, and our own websites could deliver for us, simply cause most of us are to tech lazy to bother learning for ourselves.
Well now is a great time to learn, for those with a lot of time off. Yes, it seems so boring, when another can do it for you, but if train mind to actually become fascinated with technology, new worlds will be opened up.
How many of us bother using plugins?, for example (computer geeks aside)
Or bother learning basic coding language?
Don't get me wrong, you or me aren't going to learn on our spare time, what people went to College and Universities learned over a 1-6 year period, to them, tech is their first language actually, not second.
So if tech types are seniors in high school, if just learning, we're like in the 1st grade as far as education gap goes, but it's a start.

2 step verification is wonderful, unless you change your cell phone number, and then the only way to get around that is you have to send that place a Government issues I.D. of yourself.
That happened to me once on Go Daddy, I signed up for 2 step verification by accident and couldn't log into my websites, and at the time wasn't comfortable sending Gov I.D. to strangers, so it was a stale mate.
Ended up losing a lot of websites..just stubborn like that.

2 way verification can be great, as long as you don't lose access to your second verification number.
Happened to me once, changed my phone number, like many with cell phones, do, and the only way could verify it was me was would have to send in a copy of a gov ID, well I said screw that and let all those websites just die, I just didn't care.
I'm just not that important where I need everything top secret verified.

My browser keeps trying to get me to sign into AI, artificial intelligence, ect, but I haven't yet, why?
Cause the internet is already a lonely, dehumanizing place as it is, to me, AI will simply create a wider gulf between humans. Maybe I shouldn't care, but I do, at least for now. Maybe it's just inevitable, where machines will take the place of man, maybe the day coming where we won't need human friends no more, but like on Star Wars, droids will become our companions.
What kind of empty soulless world will that be?
I'm just not ready for AI yet, I don't even use alexia or any of that stuff for the same reason.

I still feel this exact same way, but saw this, so don't have to repeat myself.

Browser keeps trying to get me to do the whole 'AI chat' crap, I'm just not into that, I mean life is lonely enough as it is, why would I want to seperate myself even more from humans by dialoguing with R2 D2?

If you lose your phone, you can locate with the help of google
Just go to 'locatephone dot come'...and they'll track your phone.
I just wish T-moble had told me this before I had number shut off and transfered to new phone I got. I'd of loved to have known where my phone was, but can't track it now, cause tracking is based on number and I've since transferred old lost phone number to my new phone...dern.
I'm going to call T mobile up and chastize them for not knowing this.

This is what annoys me about 'my circle'...just seems I'm surrounded by dumb, uninformed people, and or if they do know, no one shares anything, thus you end up wasting years, maybe even decades of your life 'lost', and figuring things out yourself.
People are m/f's when you think of it, how most just hold onto information while you suffer, that if they shared with you could save you so much unnecessary pain and loss and money.

I don't get 'Bing', or AI, which wants me to replace questions I'd normally ask humans, with them?
Sorry, but the whole point of being alive is to interact with others, not some lifeless AI program.
Well, in fairness, I guess we all do google searches for answers to our questions, but still, I think that's a level, or a few, below actually audibly talking to Bing AI.
Bing keeps prompting me to ask it a question...why should I?

A link from PC Magazine, to more safer browsers other than Chrome or Edge www.pcmag.com/picks/stop-trackers-dead-the-best-private-browsers My final straw was when this one ugly, annoying ad kept following me around...and google adware was behind it. So I deleted all my cookies, and now use a variety of browsers just depending on which level of privacy I want.

OK, I've deleted all cookies, I mean wiped everything clean, all google stuff, emails, YT whatever, msnbc stuff, it's all gone, so now back to using original browser and want to see which ads display.
I'm just experimenting here...I'm internet and technology stupid...decades behind others probably.

I'm just tired of place nice with these trackers and ads...I don't mind ads, but sometimes a gross one will display over and over again, and that I do mind. But also, I don't get paid for my browsing or all the content I create, and so tired of being used and followed, and spied upon.
And a new term I learned today is 'fingerprinting', a tech term of how 3rd party whatever's track our info, track our devices and all. I have a lot of learning to do in the tech arena of knowledge. I've just become lazy to learning anything, as of late, but that needs to really change, especially if online with now AI and other stuff coming out.
I may even take a class or two, to get me up to speed on internet technology.
