For some reason, flying just doesn't appeal to me like it use to. I guess cause the world has just shrank to me as I've gotten older.
When younger, airplanes were more like space ships to me, headed off into the unknown.

This new Cessna high wing twin is beautiful
If I were a celebrity business person, and had the wealth to buy a new airplane, this is the one I'd want.

Some crazy aviation close calls and stunts here, especially that one pilot literally landing smack dab in the middle of the jungle.

I had no idea that this iconic airport was shut down way back in 2006?
I just always assumed this iconic downtown Chicago airport was still open.
What a shame and a sham how it was closed, interesting video.

Was watching a aviation show in Prime, and they were showing how over a decade ago, jet planes were being ran by biofuels, and said by 2014 jets would be running off biofuels...obviously that didn't happen, and so I wanted to know why.
Well the above video kind of explains why.
Problem is by the time you take a plant from field to engine ready, all the energy spent along the way to do that can actually burn more fuel collectively than fossil fuel does.
So ye, biofuels sound soxy, but the over all time and energy spend getting it from plant to engine ready is more carbon polluting than refining normal fossil fuel.
The video explains it better.

Take a nostalgic flight aboard a old Boeing 337 Stratosphere
I think it would be heavenly to fly aboard one of these airplanes right out the factory.

Back when aviation was just raw Back when aviation was just raw. This airplane brings back memories of going to the airport as a youth and either watching Father depart or just watching airplanes come and go. When younger, I just thought once you took off, you were being whisked away to a better place.

When younger I used to love flying, it's all I could think about was flying and women (back when I had a foot fetish) But now, flying, ugg, not so thrilled about it anymore, or I should say the process. Airports, people, who needs it... Wish I were rich enough to just charter my own Jet or turbo-prop across the country. Ye, if could fly like this, in style, and away from the public, wouldn't be so bad. I don't understand how celebrities, many of them, most of them, still fly regular airlines with the public. That's gotta be awkward.
