The Gen X radio show is on today starting at 9 am Seattle time, or 12 noon Eastern time  1. Is American culture, these days, something worth importing overseas? 2. Our info is being harvested online, whenever we sign into social media accounts, or even just fill out online applications. 3. Asylum seekers flee to America for safety, do they not realize there's more crime here than in many of the nations they're fleeing from?4. Illegal immigrants allowed to stay at 5-star hotels, yet American vets, ect, shown no such mercy. 5. Gen X radio is no longer on 1150 KKNW am, Seattle. You can still listen to former and even newer, shorter, episodes at the Gen X website... www.thegenxradioshow.com/ It was a good run, but not worth the money I was paying for airtime. Nor was I ever able to compile a good team around me. So for now, the show is no longer on the am/fm airwaves, but newer, shorter, and or even shorter 'best of' segments will be shared here and on the website and elsewhere. |

Podcast monologue.
Begin
Well, as you know by now, Gen X radio is no longer on 1150 KKNW, out of Seattle.
It was my choice to end the show do to not getting a good return on show costs, as in advertisers and or other interested parties.
Radio is not cheap folks, and well, a 30 minute show every week just wasn't enough air time to garner a large enough following to keep the show going.
Most people here you on the radio and just assume you've got sponsors or big bucks, not the case with me, I'm just an ordinary working joe or jane who happened or happened to enjoy broadcasting.
Broadcasting is like the last purest form of mass communications, in that unlike being online, there is no algorithms that decide who gets heard and who doesn't.
Everything online is totally rigged now, the days of may the best talent get out, well, those days are long gone.
The powers that be soon realize giving everyone equal and fair range on line upset their controlling narrative, it upset the professionals, the experts, and undermined them....I mean after all they can't have farmer joe knowing more about agriculture than the said 'Harvard' expert.
Not only that but the internet is no longer free and open space anymore, now there's many valves and switches, like the plumbing in your house, and these valves and switches control the flow of water, or in this case, information.
Doesn't matter how bright you are, how talented you are, how brilliant you are, if the powers that be at google or yahoo, or any server, or twitter or FB, Reddit, you name it, if they don't want your message getting out, they simple turn your volume way way down, so that no one can here you.
And radio was just kind of a way around that.
Will I find another station to run show on?
Not sure yet...it all costs.
If I did it again I'd have to go in with a team, or 1-2 others, or get a sponsor ahead of time.
But for now, just hanging back for a while and plotting my next move.
I may go back to am/fm247, where I got my start, just not sure yet, but even internet radio costs money.
Until then though, I'll periodically continue to pump out shorter versions of the show, and or best of clips that stand as shows on their own.

It's amazing how quickly we can lose our health if stray from healthy practices  Gen X is still here, just haven't created any new episodes as of late. One thing for sure though, fitness as you age, becomes more and more important. Life is hard, and only gets harder when unfit. So many things attack our health, even when sleeping, even from the type of fabrics we wear, even to the type of bed sheets or blankets we lay on. So much of what we touch, during the day, is toxic. We have man-made toxins coming at us from one end, and bio toxins attacking us from the other end, and our only defense is our immunes system. Then if we drink, or do drugs, prescribed or illegal, and or smoke, and or don't exercise, we then make it harder for our bodies to fight off this constant invasion. And sometimes seems you can still do everything right, and still get sick. Anyways, hope those who did listen and enjoy the shows are doing well out there, and I'll try to pump out another show soon, in podcast form, until then can enjoy older shows by going to 'the gen x radio show . com' Be well and stay fit.

Future show skit

No worries folks, Gen X is still here, but not doing weekly AM radio anymore.
Do to writers strike, and now actors on strike with them, it was near impossible to get a talent agent to help promote show to the next level.
That being said, life still rolls on.
Life, the forward movement of time, will steam roll over you if don't stay ahead of the turning wheels.
But ye, today's theme or topic for this short episode is titled 'As a Gen X'r workout or die'...
ye that's right, as a genx'r workout or die.
Life is rough folks, and it doesn't become any softer as you age, if anything life becomes more trickier to navigate as you age, things change folks, the way people do business changes, and now you have AI gobbling up peoples livelihoods.
Everything is changing folks from when we gen x's grew up in the 80's and 90's.
And life isn't waiting around for any of us old timers to adopt, it's like adapt or get stream rolled over.
Even the whole idea of 'hard work' or 'working hard', is near laughable to today's tech savvy youth, who can generate life long lottery type of income by just inventing a new app, or creating a video game, ect.
Today's generation doesn't have the patients we had, to wait it out, and then expect for your hard work to be rewarded.
Nah, them days are gone.
Cause like no matter how good you are at your craft, who really wants to pay you more??
The money goes to the investors, not you.
Anyways, gonna keep it short folks, I don't get paid for this, I just do it out of courtesy and passion.
Will I ever get genx up and running again on the airwaves, or even internet radio?
Who knows.
I do think though, that people need a show like this to keep it blue collar real and grounded.
Working class type of radio and issues.
Next episode will be about how truckers can better their lives and careers by taking online courses and getting into the brokerage side of logistics.
It's a blue collar show folks....
And with that, I'm out.
