You can't teach lessons to anyone or people who don't have a moral base, a base on which to build principles, to reflect upon. If one, or a whole people or people living in an area, or certain induvisuals living in said zone, don't have a moral base, than the only lesson they learn is a congugilated one, one that's twisted... It's why there's so much violence in the hood, cause many have never been taught the art of 'reasoning'... Other than at the level of basic primitive tribe dwellers. So when something goes wrong, no talk, no self reflection, just violence...and articles prove this to be true... summit on urban violence in ChicagoYou never see other communities in Idaho or Kansas or Nebraska having 'rural violence summits'.... And most of the people who need to be at the summit, aren't even there... The older, more mature people in that room, aren't the cause of the violence...it's the younger, morally banckrupt types, without fathers, without any moral base, that need to be at that summit. Whatever the cause and reasons, it's self sustaining now...only supernatural intervention can stop it, or nature, or simple math. Or sterilization...

Making a decision to move, expecially now days, is never a easy thing to do.
But I'm never going to be comfortable here. I'd have to move 30 miles out of town in a rural area, to feel more at ease.
Problem is I'm to young, or look to young, as such, some of the dark minded folks here think I should adorn myself in silly, colorful clownish street attire as they do.
If not than 'there must be something wrong'...
I've never lived around a more close minded people in a free society before in my life.
Close minded by choice.
People who have never been know where, yet expect others to copy their style, dress and sway, even though it's self destructive...they just don't get it.
Image, none of that, the only ones who eventually 'get it' are the ones who leave the hood areas, and then suddenly become very self conscious when they realize all that hood stuff is used against them in the broader world.
But most won't leave...the younger rowdies have no intention of leaving, and the criminals just keep getting released from jail, prison, and return...just to create more chaos.
Many people lack basic habits, many are full of self hate, have been tarnished by being associated with a certain unruly segment within the hood areas.
No one likes no one, everyones sumicious of everyone...
It's just not a very feel good environment.
And again...it may just be the side of the city I'm on.
I don't know...lot's of thinking to do over the next few days, weeks...

Not so much as a hint or sign of Halloween, in the hood...Nothing... Lifeless, like the people here. I notice more advanced civilizations celebrate Holidays...and even Africans in Africa, were known for being very celebratory, before outside influences arrived... The legacy of slavery is strong and well in the SE...and I'm sure other areas where SE freed slaves migrated into other communities. Segregation prevented many from being allowed to become a part of the greater pop culture...and you can still see the effect in some areas. Slaves were stripped of all past and future identities, told to drop native language and customs, yet weren't allowed to participate in Americas... And I know many say 'Well, that was long time ago'...but habits die hard...things, mentalities, get handed down, expecially when people live huddled up in same communities for generations, and never spread out. So nothing really changes. You have to have high self esteem and 'love self' to be comfortable enough to 'play'...to dress up in costume all in fun. And self esteems, self images are very damaged in the hood...you see it every day...people have very low self esteem, and make up for that low self esteem with violence and or arrogance, anger, hostility, rudeness, indifference, pretending to not care about anything or anyone, including the environment, which explains all the litter you see in the hood. It's a saddening environment to live in, expecially when you're able to contrast it with other places you've lived. The hood is one of the saddest places I've ever lived in my life. But don't get me wrong, not all black or Hispanic or even white communities are hood. You also observe it's kind of a economic thing...most in the hood are single parent types, males with records, who are forced to live off of girlfriend or relatives. Traditional family values have been rejected in the hood, and is why it is the way it is. Filthy tongued rappers have replaced Deacons, and Fathers, as having the most influence to the young. The holidays are a very sad and unfestive time in the hood...cause family structures are so fragmented. Church, and or school sponsored events, are about the only places one can go to get a sense of 'organization'... Where you have law, rules, and order. And Church and or schools, are about the only place youth can go do see men in responsible positions. I think deep down inside, many don't like they way they are, in the hood...but feel there's no alternative. I wish I could do more to fix things, hold seminars or something. Sometimes I think my time has come and gone, that there's really no place where I'd fit into anymore...accept over seas maybe, or in some big dark castle, all alone on a cliff, with marble floors throughout. Just me, myself and I, and the odd spirits that follow...

Ok, I created a map of the places I'd like to live...and places I would not like to live, and places I'm kind of undecided about... And states that are blank...are just kind of generic to me...in that I don't have strong feelings either way towards that state. The hearts represent states or areas I'd feel comfortable in... The black masks, represent places I'll never feel at ease at...unless super wealthy and allowed to live separate and apart from the general population. And the shaded reddish areas are areas within state I kind of like... Penn State...the whole state gets a heart...I forgot to insert it...I like the State of Pennsylvania...very beautiful state...I wouldn't mind settling there at all...any location. California is like 3 states in one...desert, coastal urban, and northern mountain...that's why I have 3 symbols in that state. More commentary on this map in future posts...

A sad contrast...
Today, while exercising...I observed a sad contrast between mindsets...and sadly, at least here, at this location it was cut along ethnic and color lines...
The South American or Hispanic group, were in the baseball diamond playing organized softball, youth softball, as they always do, with parents, both mom and dad and uncles, turning out to support and fill the stands...
Then, across the way, you had another organized sport occurring with European Americans, families supporting their participants....it was organized and clean.
In contrast, you could observe fatherless black youth walking in between both event activities not apart of either group...not do to color, but do to not having families, fathers, who understand the importance of family, or even caring...
Good chance most of the black youth strolling by live in single homes and don't even know where their father is.
It was a sad contrast, and you can see where so many social issues are rooted in certain hoods, communities...
The communities that value family, start early at training their youth to obey rules, be polite, respect adults and how to organize events outside of Government sponsored events like schools ect.
In contrast (regardless of color) communities that reject traditional families, and that rely on public aid to raise their families, aren't able to instill in their youth a stable value system that will help them excel in school and stay out of trouble, and fear God and authority.
And you can see daily, in behavior, the staunch contrast....every day you see it.
Every single day, where I stay at least, the white youth act quiet, reserved and polite...yet are happy...
The black youth are loud, play loud and wild, totally undisciplined...and again you see habits and traits at an early age, that will carry over into adult hood.
The white/Hispanic/Asian youth, are home studying, on computer, organized sports ect...
The black youth (at least in this area) just out wondering the streets wild and unsupervised...
When you observe this, you begin to realize it's not racism that holds people back these days, instead it's habits formed through or in community one comes from...
When in the hood, you're able to observe the self destructive habits and traits developing at a early age.
Not sure what the solution is...

If I go to a public place, where the public mingles, like an event or something...the males raised in the hood can't conversate, not in the least bit...
Yet, other males/females, raised in normal neighborhoods, where they study, where parents show an interest, or showed an interest in grades, these types are near brilliant...programmers, or in college for it, accountants, good with numbers, know about politics, history, are much more mature and confident in their future...
Again, the contrast is so blatant...so very blatant...
One lifestyle develops healthy, or healthier offspring, the other lifestyle develops social miscriants...
You see young males in the hood, that by age 15, have that hopeless, death row, glare in their eyes, no sunshine at all, just years and years of hood identity, hard, curse word laden rap music, pumped into their conscious since age 3...totally embracing a satanic value system...and you see the results...just read the headlines in any city, and you see the results in the news and crime states...
It's like a self destructive generation...like lemmings that throw themselves off a cliff... No other culture does this...so very odd and sad...

I have a odd mixed relationship with some in the hood... There are some, in the hood, that are like jewels... Certain induvisuals who are self aware...and realize what's going on and who are able to see the larger picture, able to rise above their own environment...jewels... And they are scattered throughout the hoods...induvisuals...just living and surviving...

The hood is a mindset, not a place...
Every place is neutral, it's the people who habitate a place or area, that gives the area a distinct vibe.
Today I drove out to a newer development area, new stores, shops, nice and clean. Kind of on the outta area of town.
I was looking forward to going to a certain store...and low and behold I see 'black dude' standing to the right of front door...
I was so hoping in my mind that they were just waiting for wife or ride to pull up in car. I was so hoping they were just a normal shopper, maybe just smoking cigarette while wife shopped.
My hopes were crushed when as I was approaching door...
'Oh excuse me...excuse me...do you have ect ect'...
I just ignored them and walked into store....
I felt disqraced a bit...I was like of all places for this loitering man to be, why here?
Why bring every ugly stereotype people already have in their mind, in the suburbs, out here, and totally fulfill every one of them?
It pissed me off...
Of course this place has a bus line to it, so more than likely their person caught the bus, and figured they'd come 'beg' for change where 'people with money shop'.
And as usual, they always feel I have money, or am kind or sympathetic...not sure why.
But I ignored them...and I'm sure they brought shame, by association, to other people of color who just wanted to blend in and be treated, seen, as upscale, normal shoppers like everyone else.
This new shopping center is 'mixed'...it attracts a lot of 'middle class whites' from the suburbs...people with no surface issues...and middle class blacks to.
But some how the thug urban types always find a way to intrude on civil human beings who don't want to be interrupted with rude, crude, public behavior.
I've never seen anyone over the age of 25 become successful with that thug urban crap...either you shed your ways, or fade...end up in jail, unemployed or an addict or deceased.
What I write may sound mean to some, but it's true.
People are thug and ghetto cause they want to be, not cause they have to be...and sooner or later they realize they'd better grow the hell up or be left behind economically and socially...

Title: A 25 year old man vs a 25 year old boy. What do I mean by that? Exactly what the title of this posts suggests or says. One is either a 25 year old man or a 25 year old boy, and in the hood, more than often you tend to see 25 year old boys. And that age was just randomly chosen...It could be 35 or 45 ect. You can instantly tell the difference between a 25 year old man vs a 25 year old boy, expecially when shopping inside a grocery store... 1. A 25 year old man dresses like a man, pants that fit, proper posture, walks like an adult, talks like an adult. A 25 year old boy, while walking around grocery store, is shifty eyed, still wears over sized hip-hop attire, looks nervous, jitters and twitches a lot, not groomed...and looks more like they should be hanging out alley rather than walking around store shopping...looks, acts, guilty even though they've done nothing wrong as of yet. 25 year old boy still speaks improper English, uses the word 'umm' a lot and is a poor communicator, and doesn't know how to carry on a normal meet and greet with cashier...25 year old hood male in store still looks like they should be walking around with their mom. Cause the hood never ever prepared them for adult life...so now their adult, yet not mentally equipted to deal with it. And do to never learning proper grammar, or how to use regular full sentences, seems illiterate to those around them...which eventually effects their self esteem, which effects their posture in public places. When one has low self esteem, feels inadequate, one tends to lower head and not look others in the face, as is often the behavior of 25 year old boys in the hood when in an adult environment. Now back in the hood, all these slouching traits, improper English traits, acting anti-education traits, earns you points on the streets, amongst others who are broke, and can't help you in any way shape or form. But in areas where other real adults gather, like super markets, DMV, or other Government offices, there is a sharp contrast between a 25 year old man and a 25 year old boy. We're in the year 2013, it's almost 2014...and no one is forcing people in the hood to still act like primitives from the 3rd world....it's all done by choice. Many single mothers move out the hood, do to section 8 vouchers, and move into decent looking neighborhoods, yet offspring still walk, talk, and dress hood or gutter...like it's a style or something, a mentality that many in urban areas gravitate towards. But it's a style, mentality, that is detrimental to ones future, unless one plans on being a rapper and marketing that image simply to sell albums. Where I stay, the jail population is like 95% black...that's where that mentality leads many... Caged like animals, men sleeping around and with other men...wow sounds fun... And this is how some define man hood and living out the American dream? To be locked up, no education and spending all ones time sleeping around other men? Then get out of jail/prison, no job, no one will hire them, forced to work low end, low paying labor jobs, can't get house or apt, can't afford car, can't provide for family, not in school, no education and so on. That may be a badge of honor while 15-21...but try being that way at age 25-55... All the street 'cool' stuff and ways will have long faded...instead of seeming cool to others, you now seem more like a fool...from cool to fool. While other 'men' are buying new cars, homes, 25 year old boys are buying a new pawn shop bike, to cruise around the hood up to corner store. 25 years old, still acting, carrying on, like a boy. Hood life will destroy ones future...

The hood mentality is a scourge to the black community, or any other community that embraces it...
Half the time, when I hear rap music from a car, it's some Lillie white suburban hobbit playing it...crispy clean feminine looking white hobbit blarring loud rap from vehicle.
But with them, that's as far as it goes...just some music to 'toughen self up'...but that's it, that's the extent of it...they're smart enough, raised proper enough, held to higher standards by parents, to know better than to actually embrace the culture and become a slum.
Where as many black or minority youth actually embrace it like a religion... The Lillie white guy from the suburbs can listen to rap, while attending Harvard University, and not have it effect their social status, not be physically associated with all the negatives of it. For as soon as the Lillie white guy from the suburbs turns music off, they're socially clean again.
Where as the image permanently sticks to the black youth...they cannot run from the negative connotations associated with the hood.
And it comes back to bite many, once grown, and trying to fit into adult life beyond the hood. It comes back to bite black males like ants in the pants.
It effects people wanting to hire you or not, what they will trust you with, the level of responsibility one gets and more.
And eventually everyone matures, gets older, body slows down...and it effects the self esteem and moral of a 35 year old hood male when he still finds self being treated, related to, as a 15 year old boy, do to how they carry self.
It has little to do with racism, and much to do with mannerism.
Most find this out to late...never had anyone to guide them correctly.

Are whites better than blacks? No...absolutely not... But where I stay, management has decided to diversify who they allow to stay here, and by that I mean they've stopped leasing to Section 8 types, and gutter types with low social standards and standards for self, and have been bringing in more 'whites'...and others... And you could notice the change almost over night. Mind you these whites moving in are just as economically challenged as the blacks...but have a totally different mindset or standard of conduct. And then you begin to realize, see, and observe, that that's what distinquishes people from one another, not color, but mentality. Almost over night crime dropped, and littering dropped by 90%. No more menacing hoards of wild youth harracing people with their presence and shady behavior. Even other older blacks, mature blacks, appreciate the change. The whites don't bring no issues at all what so ever...they work or are in school, and don't walk around dressed all street or gutter...are quite...regardless of age, their quiet and respectful. Can't say the same for the black youth...is it do to the 'Distinction Factor'...Where one group is raised and trained to hold self to higher standard, where as the other group is raised and trained to embrace all things dark and detrimental to social growth? All I know, see, and observe, is when whites come into a neighborhood, regardless whether they're rich or dirt poor, crime drops, and litter all but goes away...what does that say?

The hood is the only place I've been where adult males don't ever seem to grow up and mature... Guys in their 30's, 40's, 50's, still dress, talk, and act like 15 year olds.

Certain males under achieve in the hood, and then get older, and bitter, and resentful towards those who made better decisions...
Also, being black, and raised in the hood, will give you a ugly attitude towards other blacks/minorities forever, no matter what you become...like cops...
When raised in the hood, you're raised around the worst example of everything...and you're not use to seeing or relating to other 'blacks/Hispanics/poor whites/other' as not being hood.
So even though one was raised in the hood, and then rise up and out, once in their profession, the develop a certain 'inferiority complex towards others like them, who they have assigned to perminant hood status (in their mind)...
It's why often black cops treat other black people so terribly...and can't, don't want to, make a distinction between an educated black person from Idaho, and one from South Miami...to the black cop (like a racist)...black is black...and if black/Hispanic ect, than you're suppose to be hood.
(I know that's a bit complicated to understand for those who have never lived in the hood, or dealt with hood folks)...
But it's true.
Blacks in the hood, from the hood, are some of the most racist towards other blacks, people of color, that you will find on the whole planet.
I mean think about it, if you're a black person, would you want to go to a restaurant, and be served by another black person who uses, used the 'n-gga' word all their life?
Would you want to be served by such a mentally damaged induvisual?
It's why most blacks would prefer to have a white waiter, than a damaged, self loathing black on. Now the self hating black waiter from the hood, or cashier, will act 'right' around white custimers...'yes sir, no sir, yes ma'am, no ma'am'...but this same black waiter, if waiting on a black family, will treat the black family like garbage...
(there is nothing healthy about the hood mindset or damage it causes to those who embrace it)
Same with immigrants of color...like certain South Americans or Asians...where back in their nations, they have perminant social caste systems...
So they move to American and bring that same foul mindset with them.
It's why many of them set up shops in the hood, and have such disdain for the custimors they serve, and the custimors which buy their stuff and keep them in business...
They're all racist as hell, until their civil rights are violated...then they all want to be black...and expect the black community to support them...
They just figure all blacks are ready made, instant, social activist.
I guess they get that from watching those old 'Eyes on the Prize' civil rights TV documentaries.

I watched about half this movie tonight...'Barber Shop 2'... And for the fun of it, I'd like to compare the 'hood' in the movie, to the 'hood' I observe where I'm at...lets begin... 1. For one...the blacks in this movie don't represent the ones where I live, not in the least bit... In this movie there's 'color'...diversity amongst the people...light skin, dark skin, hair, no hair, tall, healthy looking and so on. Where I live you don't find that at all...every ones usually one tone of dark. 2. Big healthy men.... In this movie, the males are all big and healthy looking...where I live most of the males are ghetto scronny, do to poor eating habits... 3. The men smile, and have personality in this movie...where I stay, at least ones I encounter on the streets, don't have no personality at all, just a hardened cold look on face from years of pretending to be tough or 'bad'...you hardly ever see guys smile in public where I'm at. Now in all fairness...obviously the people appearing in this movie production aren't 'street' or 'ghetto' anymore...some maybe use to be, but like Cube, and Queen Latipha (who also models for Revelon), they've been out of the streets for decades, and are totally refined, compared to how they use to be...at least on film...they are millionares now, and have been for quit some time... So it's unrealistic for me to compare healthy, millionare actors to those on the streets...just like in all movies, even 'white' movies, they only show and present the best...not the worst...so why should a 'black' movie be any different? Of course they're not going to cast any real scronny street types. 4. The males in this movie are tall and healthy looking...a product of good eating and diet while growing up... Where I stay, all the hood males look half starved, short, frail and scronny....and dark skinned...and no fashion sense. (maybe a few)...but again...I'm not around professionals, I'm around hood types...younger hood type males who still dress 'street'... As the mature and get out into the work force, maybe some will adapt and change...who knows. 5. All the 'white' jokes and chatter... Where I live you don't hear that at all...the blacks where I stay loath self, or have narrow view of self, but secretly adore 'white folks'...and so you never hardly ever hear blacks obscessed with dissing white folks, like they do in this movie. That vibe is usually found in, believe it or not, higher educated communities, and or places where the nation of Islam is, and other such black identity movements up north...but in the south east, a place where blacks were content with slavery and segregation, most blacks down here will clean a white persons feet in a heart beat, while stepping on a fellow black persons feet...just left over mental residue from the slave days I guess... 6. And in the SE...middle eastern shop owners never ever interact with the black community or white community..they totally stick to themselves...they maintane strict social barriers...not sure if it's the same in NE or not. 7. Lot's of lighter skinned blacks in this movie...where I stay, that's rare to see such variance of dark skin and light skin hanging out together...but I know that's very common out west or in the NE... Most light skinned blacks tend to go to college, and have higher self esteem, for some reason...and so you don't see to many taller, light skinned blacks being ghetto on the streets, at least not here. 8. The english spoken is good, clear, precise and proper...in the movie, that is. Where I stay nothing could be further from the truth...although the women, females, tend to speak better english than the guys, and generally carry themselves with more class, regardless of income level. Again...I know it's a movie...but just felt like making comparisons to movie and real life. Before I moved into a hood area, I would of totally thought everything in movie represented reality. TV, film, tends to present a real sanitized view of things...regardless of genre'...

Black youth, in the hood, scare the hell out of me, cause they are incredibly cruel, mean, and judgmental...
Which of course is a symptom of very low self esteem and insecurity.
