Zombie movies kind of seem korny when you watch them...but when you dream about them or being in that environment it feels very scary or uneasy. I had such a dream minutes ago...and awoke right before I sensed my time was running out. But these zombies were more like intelligent half vampire type zombies. I was with a group of stragglers hiding out in a large gymnasium..like on a college campus or something. The group of human stragglers kept getting smaller and smaller...me and another guy broke off from main group because there was a young woman, who was alone, and panicing, and didn't know what to do, so we all hid together under some 'pull up bars in gymnasium. Pulled some clear plastic over us and just hid. But they were to loud, kept moving around and talking...and I kept telling them to 'shat up'... But they persisted, kept moving around, until our location was finally compromised...so I left them...but by this time zombies were everywhere...slow moving, human looking kind. It's more like their souls were zombified...not so much the flesh...but you could feel it strongly in the dream, a fearful dread of being grossly out numbered. I broke off from group, went outside, where there was more of these student like zombies stumbling around. Until finally I was seized by a few intelligent ones... I just kept talking, blabbing, trying to appeal to their human side, or what was left of it. The strategy worked as they kind of dragged me along with them. Two zombie punk rock females... But like vampires, being to close to my flesh just ignited their appetites... And in the end they had me seated on some stairs...and I think one sniffing out or trying to bite me in my lower parts... And that's when I woke up...feeling depressed...as if the whole situation were real. On film, zombie movies may seem korney, but when you're walking around with them in a dream that feels real...it's frightful. When you have other people trying to bite at you, knowing if they break your flesh with their teeth, that you'll be changed, it's frightful. Anyways just wanted to share that dream before It faded from memory... I consider it a dream and not a nightmare. To me, a nightmare is a dream where you heart rate elevates and you wake up from it in a panic...like actually moving or pulling covers over head. This was just more like a scary dream...

Had another zombie type dream, where mass people in the population become infected with something. The zombies in these dreams always range in intelligence, wit and speed from slow moving, 1969's original 'Night of the living dead'; to the fast moving '28 days later' kind. Some are intelligent and have intentions, others are dumb and just react to movement or the motion of others. And as usual there's always a few stragglers hanging on, desperately trying not be become infected, and I'm always apart of this group. And like in the movies, the infections always happen fast and spread rapidly. And when being chased by zombies, there's really no time for mistakes. One mistake and you're done, changed. Maybe zombies simply show us what we really are on the inside, monsters, monsters with a conscious. And that little sliver of consciousness is what maybe seperates most of us from becoming zombie monsters. But the more you read the news headlines, you can already see many are starting to loose that 'sliver of consciousness' already...whether induvisually or collectively. Maybe the mindless, heartless, infection has already begun and is slowly spreading... I suppose one has to examine self, and actions and behavior towards others, to determine whether one is prepped to become a future zombie or not.

Must write dream sketch down now before it fades beyond meaningful memory. In my dreams, Zombies often take on normal human form....and I believe that to be true in that our subconscious gets at what really scares us about something. And what really frightens most about zombies is not so much the outer rotting flesh, but rather the lack of reasoning ability displayed by corpse. Something becomes scary or frightful anytime you can't reason with it, be it an animal, the IRS, an assassin, insects ect, anytime you're unable to reason with something, it automatically becomes frightful. When something is unable to respond to your cries, screams, concerns, pain, than it truly is a monster, singular in purpose to devour your being. And that's why zombies are frightening, cause they retain enough human form to remind you of the worst in humanity. The dream I had last nightwas wide in it's implications (I guess). A quick scene synopsis. 1. Takes place, originates in warehouse situated on a hillside, dark warehouse that still functioned with employees. And it was dark out, very dark, felt like a 'meat' warehouse. 2. Guest appearances by Snoop Dogg and Jack Nickelson (The Shining). 3. Extras: Random shady characters. 4. Ignition point of dream: Two homocides committed within warehouse which occurred on back to back nights, of two AA females, both cases unsolved, no one talking. And at this point I walk into a dark lit 'ready room', or maybe locker room. (In dream I was employed there). I already has a sense of dread and sickness inside of me, and as I entered dark, (literally no lights on type of dark, just lights from outside street posts are what illuminated room)room, Snoop Dogg, kinda sitting down on long bench said 'It happened again', and they still don't know who did it'.There were two to three other dark skinned black males with us in this space, and for some reason I just didn't believe that no one didn't know what was occurring, I felt I was being lied to by all in that room, like a cover up or something. I felt it was very dangerous for me to stay there and work that night. I think Snoop was smoking a cigarette. Then the other 3 black males made a rush, and some commotion towards me, as they were fixing to leave, as if they could sense I was uptight and deliberately trying to jar my nerves, as if they enjoyed seeing me so uneasy. They finally left. And I think I left shortly after that, could not take working in a place where two homicides occurred back to back nights, of two AA women, and not so much as a soul knew a thing, no cops, no detectives, nothing, people just continued to work in this dark 'meat' factory as if 'Oh well, no big deal' type of attitude, so I left. It was dark outIt was a very dark night, air felt thick, the type of dark where it seems the street lights struggle to push the darkness aside. As I'm walking up hill, on sidewalk (which resembled place I was raised in), I notice lots of people walking towards me, reading books. They were 'white'. But even though they were reading while walking, I could sense it was all ploy, that they were all in something together. I felt so uneasy that I returned to warehouse to try to connect with people, to alert people that things were just 'off' all around, I needed someone to relate to me, to see what I saw, felt, to realize the absurdity of whole situation, but I could find no one who could or would relate, it's as if I were running around dead souls. That's when I started getting loud, desperate, and felt my doom was near. At this time Jack Nickelson comes running out of room with swing type doors, the type you'd find in a meat warehouse, he's excited, angry and mad, and I'm the focus of his rage. The chase was on, he was trying to capture me, I ran, we fought, I kicked him in his face, got away, went outside, and at this point it felt like the movie 'Invasion of the body snatchers'. (the 1970's version) I knew I was a lone, and everyone was conspiring againt my being, my life force, so I ran into hillside and hid up under some brush. And I will end it there. The rest of dream deals with finding refuge amongst relatives who were unaware of situation, same night, still dark. Now, time for review. This is the first human zombie film I've had in a very long time. 1. Have no idea why Snoop Dogg and Jack Nickelson appeared in this dream, in the roles they did. 2. The black males in the break room with me seemed very shady, and in this particular dream, the very tone of their skins reflected their lack of character. It's hard to explain, but in this dream it felt more like they were black, because indeed they were evil and bad, and their blackness reflected that. It was a dark, rich, reptilian slimy type of black or brown town, and the darkness of the room just added to the effect. They were urban type males, with no morals or conscious. 3. The white book readers where zombies, a back drop, they were concealing something, yet trying to give the appearance of 'innocent' and 'harmless' yet they were not. I did not like this dream and not sure why mind would generate such imagery, which sometimes makes me think dreams come from an external source. Another thing of noteI did wake up and noticed I was in a deep type of sleep, bacteria type of deep sleep, like maybe when you eat something bad, and your vitals begin to slow down. As if 'death' is slowly pulling at you, which would explain why I felt like I was being pulled into darkness by the characters all around me in dream. But my will to live, to breath, seemed to be stronger than deaths grip on my that particular night. Sometimes I wonder if the body has a way of turning biological functions, stuggles, into symbolic dreams. I don't know...odd dream...so much so I'm still thinking about it.

More Zombie dreams early tonight...but they fade fast from memory so will do best to outline what I do remember. 1. Semi truck getting lost, going off main road, road kept getting smaller and more rural, then hilly, then from gravel to dirt, to almost just open farm road type tractor trail, finally truck had to stop cause it really couldn't go any further, had to stop and turn into small pasture like opening in a very hilly area. 2. Night time came, obviously semi truck wasn't where it should be, remember feeling very uneasy either as first person character or just observer of characters in truck. Truck was turned around facing way it had came, but still in small tractor like staging area. 3. Full darkness, then here come up the road, WW2 troop transport type of jeeps..with the canopy tops.. But inside them were 'locals', not army personal, but rather local 'hill billy' types, and as they drove by in the dark you could seem them looking back at semi truck in sumicious many. 4. Suddenly day light again, now scene is either as 1st person character or observer, scene is walking through rag tag mountain village settlement, I'm talking a place where primitive mountain folks lived, like in the movie 'Deliverance'. Hill Billy male and female were cooking something outside in large pots, that resembled the kind you see witches cooking stuff in or casting spells in. Remember lady pretending to some what be nice and cordial. But something felt off. 5. Next clear scene was of being back in Semi truck with a sense of urgency to flee, and then younger armed clean shaving hill billy males pointing guns up into cab, as if conflicted, as in one second wanted to let you go, then next second didn't, you could tell they were acting on behalf of higher village authority, just foot soldiers. Dream sequence gets fuzzy after this6. Turns out it was some kind of zombie camp where cannibalism and other odd rituals were taking place. (in dream it made more since, now that I'm awake it's hard to make sense of it in words). But think goal was to keep fresh bodies coming, just not sure, even the people or families, in village were a bit at conflict with one another, almost like the movie 'The Hills have eyes' type of deal. The whole scene was grizzly and gruesome, and still not sure what the aim or goal of encampment was, but it was a place where zombies were being created. And that's about all I can really make sense of as dream begins to fade.

I had a dream half of society was going bizerk, do to many reasons, but one was do to viral outbreak, and the other side of society, the Government and or militia armed side, was preparing to take 'them' out.
And when I say 'them', I mean anyone who was 'infected' or not apart of a 'special team' who were organized and already prepared.
Those caught unarmed or by themselves were basically toast.
This dream of mine had elements of popular movies in it, as such I can't say it was a unique scenario other than I was in it which of course makes it more real and frightening.
And I was caught in the side that was unarmed and had no team.
But was working with a team of scientist as a low end worker when something when wrong, then the started the containment procedure and I got caught on the wrong side of the sealed doors.
This dream of mind had elements of many popular Apocolyptic movies in it such as
1. Dawn of the dead
2. The Andromeda strain
3. Quarantine
4. Resident Evil
5. Event Horizon
6. And the current civil unrest seen on the news.
May as well throw '28 days later' in there two.
The main feeling I had in dream, towards the end, that unless you were known, in a organized party, your life had zero value to others, you were looked at as something to either be disposed of or ravaged, depending on which group you encountered.
And unorganized people with guns were half insane and all moral reasoning broke down.
Again basically zombies, but in human form, brain zombies.
Some might even consider ISIS to be human zombies, where a mass of people all think the same and carry out the same atrocities against others without thinking about whether it's right or wrong.

First zombie dream in a long while
Don't have time for details, just going to jot down notes so later I can come back and elaborate before dream fades
1. Alone
2. Found refuge in older trailer park type mobile home, door would not lock, could not fix, sensed zombies were on their way, night.
3. Later in dream met up with two others, a male, female, neither had adequate ammunition, kept stressing that without ammunition we stood no chance.
4. Was confronted by zombie in house, I was upstairs, it had female voice, was taunting, like in the movie 'The Evil Dead'...I ended up shooting it, it bit me on the arm.
Last nights dreams showed me that shooting at moving zombies isn't as easy as it seems in movies.
And in dream I learned, unlike in movies, you don't have endless supply of ammo, in dream I realized you could spend 3-6 rounds on one zombie, and then still have 15 zombies coming at you.
In dream I realized running, hiding and stealth was best tactic against zombies, always staying on step ahead.
I may elaborate more later, as time allows or mood dictates.

In dark city streets down by peer..by water way.
A vibrant down town actually, with lots of sky scrapers.
But it got dark real quick, the zombie class was amongst us, but could not be readily identified so all people knew to do was to run, run for cover as it just kept getting darker and darker.
Some of us headed up, up sky scrapers, scaling the outer windows if necessary, but even as were climbing, some of the people climbing with you are changing, becoming stronger, turning into demonic zombies.
Then dream kind of shifted to inside of building, near the very top, a building with hollowed out inside.
Someone dangling white rope but felt it was a trap, felt as soon as jumped out onto the rope they'd let go.
There was no trust there.
Then dream just kind of faded into something else.

If I could be a Zombie, I'd want to look like this, I thinkHaven't had any scary zombie dreams lately, guess that's good, but if I had to be a zombie I wouldn't mind being the one above. The scariest dream I've had recently, not scary but frightening, uneasy, was of a red and black spider crawling uncomfortably close to me, the thing was loaded with evil intent. Goodnight

Dawn of the DeadHaven't had any scary zombie dreams lately.. The series 'The walking dead' has really killed that genre of horror movie. Good zombie movies should roll out about every 3-5 years, and when they do usually followed by a flurry of copycats, then genre dies off for a while until cycle repeated. But this 'The walking dead' series has turned the whole zombie thing into a soap opera. Now it will take a really creative writer or producer/director, to bring the horror back to that genre. Actually I think people who get up and work mundane jobs everyday with no thrill, are walking zombies. Same with those hopelessly addicted to drugs/alcohol, walking zombies. Those brainwashed by cult like religions, walking zombies. Those stuck on some political ideology, walking zombies. There's a lot of real life examples of walking zombies to be observed. Terror organizations, that hurt others, are living walking zombies, the fast kind, or more like 'The infected' from the movie 28 days later. When I get home from work I feel like a zombie. But I'd rather live in a world of zombies, with no or few humans than humans, and no zombies. Zombies are scary yes, eat flesh, yes, but they're simple to understand. All they have is a never ending appetite for flesh, and in reality they'd die off pretty quick, flesh would rot, fly's would lay eggs in their flesh and the maggots would eat all the rotting muscles from them. I mean zombie or no zombie, a body still needs muscles and ligaments in order to move or function. At least zombies aren't telling you what to do, trying to take your money, coming up with religions to follow, rules, taxes, crime, they don't steal, they just eat. To me life would be less stressful under zombies than what man has done with this planet for the majority of people.

Another zombie dreamHad another zombie dream early morning, wasn't shockingly scary, but slowly eerie in the slow speed in which people transformed, and is what made it scary, cause the change in nature was gradual, but when change occurred was instant. So could be walking with crowed of pre infected or prone to infection people, then just like that half could turn. Early mornings scenario took place in multi story older wooden house or structure. The house had wooden floors, and for whatever reason people kept pouring in, confused, most not infected, but as crowd grew, I remember I kept moving 'upwards' to the higher levels, then found place I could hide later, if things got out of hand, which was some hall attic type entrée high above the reaching hands, arms, of the infected. It never got to point where I sealed self in attic space, but in dream, air was thick with uncertainty, as just couldn't tell whom to trust, the transitions were occurring, there was confusion below, not all the zombies looked 'ugly', at first, the flesh rot thing wasn't prevalent in those who just changed.

First zombie dream in a whileThere's just something unsettling about dreaming about being attacked by flesh biting zombies. It's one thing to watch play out in a movie, or on TV, but another to be in life like dream where zombies are actually biting at your flesh, and your reaction to move out of the way 'dream sluggish'. Such dream was bad enough the other day for me to wake up, had to, was only route of escape. And when you wake up, take that route, sometimes feel guilty about leaving others behind who couldn't 'pop out of it'...until you realize it was a dream....hopefully.

Had a zombie dream
This dream was a bit abstract though, in that dealt with the spirit realm, a master alien, and zombies.
A master alien hovering above earth, kind of pulling the strings of what occurred.
A mother, two daughters, united in the spirit realm, which I helped them to achieve, (kind of like a beam me up Scottie thing), but then I was stuck here on earth to deal with these mad zombies, people of every class and color where zombies, different class of zombies.
Although, for whatever reason, in my dreams, most of the zombies appear to be 'white', and that may be because that's mainly what you see on TV.

For once I had a dream whee I was either a zombie or immune to the zombies wrath, kind of like 'Murphy', that one character in 'Z nation'.
I was laying up in some vent shaft in some dark abandoned building, and as the zombies were making their way out for the night, a trio of them stopped to talk to me, but they reminded me more of large muppets, or puppets. It's like they had a 'act' going, they had personality and humor, but you only saw that angle if you yourself were a zombie or immune to their wrath.

Zombie movies may seem silly after a while, the over saturation of them, but when you dream of being in such world, nothing silly about it.
Zombie dreams can be some of the most horrific nightmares you'll ever have.

Had another Zombie dream earlier today...
Was on large Island with large abandoned, I mean old Steal plant type large industrial abandoned facilities.
Me and team were on this Island, not sure why, just know in the end things started going wrong, and of course some of the people I was with were making to much noise, and eventually them yelling got the attention of dreaded zombies.
Fast forward, we scattered, every person for themselves type thing...I ran, they ran, just a few of us left. As running towards large cargo ship on the port or harbor, a lady, I thought was earlier 'gone', jumped out at me, she was like 'I'm alright'..
So we headed for ship together, but as she boarded, and I was still on the peer, here comes one last zombie dude, who looked like was formally a 'Rocker' type, headed my way. I had to retreat, they were a 'biter', and infected, and one bite and I to would be infected, that was the scariest part.
Keeping their biting jaws and teeth away from my flesh...I ran into a room, tried closing door, but they were half way in, and had sharp ice poker tool in hand, so not only were they trying to bite my flesh, but they also had a weapon.
Felt like an impossible situation..in the end not sure what happened.
