This was actually a pretty decent movie.
It starts off a bit feeling like a TV commercial, kind of has that TV commercial lighting to it, like a car commercial or something.
But as the movie progresses the theme gets more interesting and twisted.
I don't have cable TV right now, so miss a lot of the new movies coming out...new as in the last 10 years or so.
So I catch a lot of movies that were new back then, in over fill discount bins at Wal-Mart.
This movie, 'Blindness' came in a horror movie bundle, although I wouldn't really describe it as 'horror'...more like 'Drama', or action drama.
Basically what happens if most if not all people in the world go blind.
Usually with movies like this, it's a zombie spreading virus, but in this movie it's a virus that causes blindness.
There's lots of bends and twists to this movie, so that you want to keep watching to see 'what happens next'.
One of many themes within the movie is how some people, most, are the same whether blind or not...I mean once the shock of blindness is over come, same old human nature begins to come out, some like to hoard and bully, some lead, others follow.
The ending kind of leaves you 'wondering'.
I do wish the ending had been a bit more conclusive.
But other than a unsatisfactory ending I give this movie a thumbs up for sure...Dan Glovers in it, and a few other Star cast members, and the film takes place in Europe, so at times has that '28 days later' feel to it.
Usually when I buy movie bundles, maybe 1 out of 5 are worth watching, and 1-10 turns out to be a gem.
Now on to the next one.
