Many white New Yorkers are fleeing their State and flooding to States like Texas and Florida, is this good or bad for native Southern 'black folk?..
To black folks it basically comes down to Southern racism vs Northers racism, which is worse in the year 2021?
The first thing Northern whites will realize when they move to the South is that unlike up north, black folk aren't Confined to just one area and are everywhere...this may make some Northern 'white types' uneasy at first.
Northern States are some of the most racially, ethnically, segragated areas in the country, and no, not in terms of 'Government sanctioned segregation' as in years past, but more like 'silent' type of segregation.
So when all these New Yorkers flood to Southern States and see black folk working in all types of industries, holding all types of jobs, ect, I wonder how that makes them feel??
This may shock some, but I see Northern Whites as being way more actively racist than I do southern whites, at least in modern times.
Hard to explain, but if seen as 'black' and drift into wrong area up North, you'll never feel more 'hated' and unwanted in your life, compared to the South.
That may shock some..
Sure, the 'Old South' was more openly racist, or more vocal about their racism, so they took the blunt of the 'image assault' by the media ect, and the Northern Racist, like guys like 'Archie Bunker' (yes, it was a TV show but he reflected real life New York bigoted views of his era) allowed Southern racist to take the fall.
But a honest person knows, Northern racist could be just as cruel and violent to a black person, if said black person stepped out of line to them.
So now all these 'W' New Yorkers who are use to segregation, now flooding the South, is that good or bad for black folk?
We should see, and discuss this new reality in the up and coming posts.
