Is Tim Tebows time in the NFL over and done with?
Expecially now that the new General Manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars, David Caldwell, has made it clear that...
"Under no circumstance do I see Tim Tebow comeing to play for the Jaguars, even if released by the Jets"...
Wow...considering that just 3 weeks ago Tebow was the chosen one to come to Jacksonville and resurect excitement and passion in a team that was 2-12 at the time...(now 2-14)...
But even I've given it some second thought...
Under the old regime...I say old cause they've all been fired, released, let go...
But under the old regime of coach and GM...it made sense...Tebow would of been a great distraction for them, and even extened their careers while he did his miracles out there on the field...
All the spot light would of been on Tebow, win or loose...which would of taken a lot of pressure to win off of Malarky and Gene Smith...
It was a win win proposition under old regime and for Tim Tebow...cause no matter what..they would of won more than 2 games next year...and for Tebow fans...it would seem as a miracle...
Even if they just won 3-4 games, it would be seen as a major improvement...
But beyond that...I'm just not sure...
Personally...the Tebow craze within even myself has begin to wane as of lately...
I mean I'd gladly like to see him do his thing on another team, like Pheonix or San Diego...but as far as stakeing a future on him on a home team...nah...
If indeed the Jaguars are serious about winning, than they need to bring the team out of the comic book section of players and General managers and coaches, and instead bring the team back into the big leagues, with big league high calibor staff, players and personalities...
And quit handling the jacksonville Jaguars like they're some tripple A high school team...
That's the only way...bring in some names, bring in some personality, some skills, some talent, and some ego...
Jacksonville needs a Ray Lewis type...some prooven veteran the team can rally behind...
For the first time in years i look forward to the up coming season and really want to see what this team can do now under more serious professional management and vision...
And as far as Tebow goes...
I personally wish the man nothing but the best...he's done nothing wrong...absolutly nothing wrong, nada...all he's done is play his heart out since high school...
But now he's learning about reality, and the dynamics of business...personalities and envy...
He's learning that you can do everything right in life, and still be villified...
That your own skills and talents, can become a vice for others...
And that it's not how good you think you are, but rather who likes you and will give you a chance...
Most of us way further down the totem poll have long sinced learn this lesson...
But Tebow will be just fine, regardless...regardless of his NFL career, he is a brand, has a marketable name...and will do just fine whatever direction he decides to go in...
But the rah rah............... days of high school and college football are slowly fadeing away behind him...and now he must face a new world new challenges and a new reality...
Best of luck Tim...
