I always thought this song was sung by Earth Wind and Fire...instead it's sung by Bobby Caldwell...amazing.
But I've known this for at least a year now...just thought I'd share it now.
What an excellent song though...one of the best forgotten love songs ever...a love song with ghetto soul to it...

When younger, I just always assumed this song here was sung by some soulsy black couple or group, but turns out this song was written and sung by a 'white married' couple from Portland Oregon, of all places.
It's a wonderful lovely song with an 80's signature all over it.
Kind of a Disco/punk/new wave/soul flow to it.
And to me should be categorized as one of the top 100 pop songs of all times.
But they were kind of a 'one hit wonder' duo.
Amazing how one hit wonder songs, end up being some of the most memorable.

'Bands I thought were 'black', that ended up being 'white'. (or songs, musical scores, ect)
