Added note: One question and one question alone, would have, could have, changed the whole context of this case...
"Zimmerman, did you ever once identify yourself as being sanctioned Neighborhood Watch Security to Trayvon while persuing him?"
That one question, which Trayvon's attornies were to dense to ask, would have changed everything...
End added note:
It's more like Trayvon Martin vs Sean Hannity and other Conservative talk show hosts...
1st...I'm not 'God'...I wasn't there...so I don't know what occurred...
My point of writing this post, is to counter some of the arguments in favor of Zimmerman, that Sean Hannity keeps suggesting, over and over again. The power of suggestion is strong, and talk radio hosts know this, and have a platform that allows them to just repeat the same stuff over and over again.
And when people repeat the same stuff, the same line, over and over again, it's apparent they're trying to paint either a positive or negative image (visual) in favor or disfavor of a subject.
In this case it's apparent Hannity, for some unknown reason, keeps trying to paint a negative image of Trayvon Martins character and actions on that fatal night.
Sean Hannity has a radio and TV show on Fox News Network.
And has an audience of millions, not all those who tune in and listen are fans...many tune in and listen just waiting for guest caller to expose him on certain issues..but because Hannity controls the mic so tightly, he never allows anyone to get upper hand on him, when they do he simply interrupts, and talks all over them, then hangs up.
So calling his show does absolutely no good, unless you're calling to praise him or agree with him.
If you praise or agree with him, he'll let you talk as long as you want, without interrupting, which I find shady and self serving.
Anyways...since Trayvon is not here to speak for himself anymore, I'd kind of like to counter Hannities arguments with some of my own, not nessisarily in Favor of Trayvon, but rather in favor of natural human behavior in such a situation.
Here we go.
Hannities favorite statements to make Trayvon look like a monster, and Zimmerman appear as a angel.
1.Eye witness says Trayvon was on top, pounding Zimmerman MMA style'
Response:
MMA style, really Sean?
Zimmerman outweight Trayvon, who was around 150lbs....it would be like Gilligan and the Skipper going at it.
And for Hannity to keep suggesting that Trayvon was cradling Zimmerman 'MMA style' is to suggest Trayvon was a skilled fighter, in the ring, with deadly intent.
MMA style = 'deadly inten't to the listeners of the Hannity show...and that fact that he keeps repeating that over and over and over again, tells me he's trying to paint a very ugly picture of Trayvon to his audience.
It paints this picture of Trayvon, a hobbit walking home from store with candy and soft drink, as being some kind of terrorzing skilled street fighter.
And maybe that's how all young black or hobbits of color are perceived by older, conservative white males...
2. 'Zimmerman told me in an interview, that half way through fight Trayvon stopped and said 'You're going to die tonight'...
Again, really Sean, Trayvon really said that?
Sounds fabricated to me...like a movie script or something...I've seen fights, and very rarely to people stop in the middle of a fight, to speak at all.
For whatever reason, Hannity thinks Zimmerman is not capable of lying.
Trayvons not here, Trayvon is dead, so to me it's not fair to take the word of the surviver who obviously has to make it appear his actions were justified...so can fabricate any dialogue they want between self and Trayvon, since Trayvons not here to dispute it.
A non bias, reasonable person would realize that...that people do lie, expecially when facing legal charges that could land them in prison for a long time.
Also, question for Sean Hannity...
Question: If Trayvon had been the one to shoot and kill Zimmerman, out of self defense, would you Mr Hannity be defending Trayvons actions of self defense and presenting him as a hero the way you're painting Zimmerman as a hero?
And according to Hannities logic, it's ok to stalk people, make them fear for life and safety, initiate conflict with them, then shoot them if they happen to get the upper hand in brawl.
I guess Hannity would be happier if when witness saw them fighting, Trayvon had been the one on the bottom?
Makes no sense, that can't make sense, unless one is racially bias, and has a fear of young black teenage males.
If it were one of Hannities hobbits, I'm sure Hannity would want his own hobbit to 'be on top' in that situation and win the fight...any Conservative would.
I don't get this idea that Trayvon was some how suppose to loose the fight in order to be exonifide of wrong doing.
Anyways...enough for now...I just wanted to counter some of Hannities suggestive, bias, portrayal of events that night, which always paints the gun carrying heavy set Zimmerman as being totally innocent, and having nothing to do with esculating, initiating the whole event.
Summary...
1. People lie Sean, people exaggerate, expecially when faced with serving jail time.
2. If Trayvon had come out triumphant, and say he shot Zimmerman, would you Sean, be defending Trayvons right to 'self defense' the way you are with Zimmerman?
