I don't like when people say the following: 'I love you through Christ'.
Love through a 3rd party...not sure if I'm down with that or not.
And I think that's false sentiment, that doesn't stand up during hard, testing times.
People who 'Love you through 'Christ' or 'Amway' or 'Herbal Life' or any other 3rd party, are always the first to abandon you once you cease to serve a purpose in their life.
This is based on real life observation and interaction with others.
Love is something everyone is capable of doing on their own, it's based on decent principles.
You don't have to 'borrow' love from 'Christ' in order to love another.
If you 'borrow' your love from a 3rd party, than you will never learn the value of love, or how to love.
But will always be shallow, and not there for others when they really need you.
This is based on real life observations.
When I was homeless, and half starved...no one from 'christ' loved me...cause I did not serve a purpose to them.
Rather the people who 'loved me' and tried to help, were just common, decent induvisuals who acted out of common, decent concern.
Don't get me wrong...I do believe Jesus, when he walked the earth, was a very, overly, loving induvisual, or 'Man/God'.
I'm still amazed at how loving Jesus was to those who persecuted him.
So this post is in no way a knock against the person/spirit of Jesus.
Rather it's an examination of people who need a 3rd party, in order to 'love' you.
Jesus can't force someone to love another...everyone has free will...(according to scripture)
And from personal experience, I've just observed folks who claim to 'love you through christ'...really don't love you at all, and infact secretly despise you...and have never learned the value of true love, and never will.
Loving someone through 'Christ' is phoney sentiment.
Either you love and value another, or you don't...you can't love someone through a 3rd party.
Someone who only loves you through 'Christ' or who only see's value in you under a religious framework, will abandon you like a rock, once they themselves fall away.
Love is a constant, it's not a mood, it's not a emotion, it's not what you feel while at church singing hymns...Love is a constant...a foundation that never waivers...and either one has that in them or they don't.
Love is not something you can 'Rent' from Jesus...ok
Nough said.
