Watching these older songs reminds me that sometimes living on is the hardest thing to do. Those who died, committed suicide, are no longer here, never had to live on, they died believing whatever is a young heart believes in.
But living on is what can be scary...why?, cause when you live on and make wrong decisions, in wrong place, around wrong people, than all the aspirations of youth, you slowly have to watch corrode.
It's one thing to be 19, and on the threshold of life, it's another to be 38 or 45, sick and unemployed, where unicorns or the perfect lover can no longer save your life.
I watch these videos and always wonder where are those of this generation now? Did indeed their dreams come true, did 'that girl' or 'that guy' that they thought the world of back then, end up being all that?
I think the happiest people, as they age, are those who are married to someone from their same generation, and can reflect together on the past, present and future.
