I finally found this song, it's been stuck in my head for months...I thought it was sung by The Gap' band... Instead it's sung by 'Cameo'...two groups I often get mixed up for some reason... Not sure why I suddenly like this song...maybe cause I miss the older mature male vocals of the 80's? Who knows...I just know I suddenly like this song for some odd reason...never really did before... Odd how animation moves, grooves, to sway of song...

Amazing how the dancers in this animation, also seem to dance to sway of song... Why can't we all just be 'tender'...and go back to a time in our lives before the world made us hard...

Back when Rizza type soul ruled.
When street soul was making it's last stance before 'pop culture' ruined it.
Back when true 'G's' ruled....only a few will feel and understand and feel...

I think I love you from head to toe...
Odd category...and not sure if it belongs here.
Not sure if this is 'soul'...it's more like 'pop R&B'...or pop disco...pop 80's disco...and may recatigorize it later.
None the less it's a classic.
Prom music for many back in the day.
The 'age of wonder' for many...and yes you know who you are...this is the Twylightzone.
Back when your world was just beginning to expand.
So just listen, reminisce and enjoy.

Watching these older songs reminds me that sometimes living on is the hardest thing to do. Those who died, committed suicide, are no longer here, never had to live on, they died believing whatever is a young heart believes in.
But living on is what can be scary...why?, cause when you live on and make wrong decisions, in wrong place, around wrong people, than all the aspirations of youth, you slowly have to watch corrode.
It's one thing to be 19, and on the threshold of life, it's another to be 38 or 45, sick and unemployed, where unicorns or the perfect lover can no longer save your life.
I watch these videos and always wonder where are those of this generation now? Did indeed their dreams come true, did 'that girl' or 'that guy' that they thought the world of back then, end up being all that?
I think the happiest people, as they age, are those who are married to someone from their same generation, and can reflect together on the past, present and future.

How could this section be complete or go on without the fabulous 'Pointer Sisters'...who dominated the 80's with their pop rizza type soul music.
Legends, reintroduced here in the zone.
Back when music was simple and made ya happy.

'Never too Much'
By the late great Luther.
Wow, what a song, and can only imagine the memories it brings up to certain others who visit here to listen to it.
Clean hot innocent summers, sounds were crisp, smells were crisp, hope was broad, and hair was flush.
Well here in the Zone, it's still happening.

'You are in my system'.
Wow, what a song, and it still works even today...
The black dude with the 1980's Jerry Curl was like a Michael Jackson minor.
What a group..back when techno soul rocked!
Boy how times have changed...

To old school Kalifornia 'gangsta' types from like the 80's, all grown up now, but no place to go or home, those whom are left
Just be quiet and listen...all that you went through has not been lost.
It still means something to many.
Just be quiet, listen and reflect...your youth was not in vain, at least not in the Zone...

Encore
One of the best 'rizza' era soul songs ever written and sung.
Either the memories are there in you're head or they're not.

It never rains in southern California
If an SW, 80's semi urban bred baby type, this song will have meaning.
You will almost want to cry, thinking of the memories...the few who are left.
True minority status...back when 'minorities' actually stuck together...cause had to. Those days long gone...
But in the zone, they live, you live, your memories live...

Vanity 6 'Nasty World'How could this section be complete with some 'Rizza Soul' (Term made up here only), without some Vanity 6.. They were so ahead of their time, this beat still flows even today, it's timeless club funk, back alley funk. This group here, was created or put together by 'Prince'...who himself was a legend to some. This song here, will make you feel young again, even happy...even if in a wheelchair, and hear this song, will feel like dancing...wow...do it girls... One of them is no longer with us...RIP...and is why live long and strong while and when can, and don't look back. We're all gonna pass one day, saint or devil...so live, do your thing, while can. Later...
