Ye, you go to these sites, follow all there 'publish your book now' type stuff, use their converters and all, this and that, pay whatever fee, this and that, and when done, no one buys it. It's why even famous Author's often go on circuit tours, appear on radio shows, late night TV shows and all, moving books takes publicity, a lot of it.
Even famous Authors still go on book signing tours, and even then may not reach selling goal, so what chance does a unknown Author writing about 'butter flies' have?

I happen to like butterflies Yes, of course you do, cause you twinkle toes and odd, but looka here man, real life isn't some Wizard of OZ, Sesame St fantasy, where people float around wearing ballet shoes, OK. Now if you want to write a book, you need to write about something more hardcore, something provacative and loud.

I need to write a book soon I need to write a book soon, even if have to use a service like this... booklaunchers.com/I have the material, but would need 'coaching'. It's like having a room full of junk, valuable stuff, but scattered all about a room, having a publishing coach can help you sort the junk, organize and place proper items on shelves, sweep the place up, and now you have a shop ready to sell items. I think having a publishing coach, or using such services can do that for people who have all the ideas, even all the words, but just don't know how to organize it all. Most of us have already written several books in our lives, and don't even realize it, cause our writings are scattered all over the place or wasted on social media. Social media real syphons much of our time and energy that would of better been spent on a book.

Heck, if even the views on this blog forum translated into sales, that could be retirement money, or a house. I mean if I could just make 100 gran from a book, I'd be happy, hell I'd buy some land, dig a well or septic tank on it, get one of those mini cabin snap together type homes, and I'd be content...then I'd just spend all my time writing more books.

This guy gives some advice on seeking out so called self publishing companies.
He's a bit vague, but you'll get the point if you listen, and that is in every industry, sadly, there's always the used car sales man scum that move in to exploit people.

I've reached out to a few book publishing places, set up a free consolation call for tomorrow with one, and another, just sent email and number, we'll see.
I just need some advice.
Here's the thing about social media writing, one could spend rest of healthy life typing and writing on social media and not earn a dime or get any recognition, none.
So I figure why not at least, before I die, at least say that I have published material out there, leaves some kind of legacy at least, cause what one writes on social media is not a legacy, it's just entertainment to a few.
I want to leave behind a few books, I'll feel better about self if I do.
Cause just dumping all ones thoughts on twitter or FB or anywhere else, in the end is a waste of intellectual time and energy, time filling yes, but productive, not really.

I have a consulation call here soon, with Publishing company, just need some coaching.
Emailed another place last night, haven't checked email yet for response.
I'd love to have the title 'Author' under my things to do list while alive.
I think I have some compelling stuff to share in the form of a book.
Sharing stuff on social media, or even on a blog, is kind of like a waste of time...no one remembers great blogs, but they do remember a great book.

Just like the Jerry Springer show, I mean what's the point of going on there? Nothing will ever get resolved?
You'll get laughed at, mocked, and for what? I don't even think Jerry Springer guests get paid.
And I've never seen a Jerry Springer guest go on to stardom, I mean as soon as they leave the stage, after making fools of selves, they're instantly forgotten.

What I just learned from book publishing call
Just got off the phone with a certain book publishing company, minor one, cause major ones aren't really eager to talk to just anyone or anybody, but that aside.
1. These so called 'self publishing' book companies, or 'we'll do it for you' type of fast food book publishing companies, they make their money by offering you packages....
There's really no garuntee that your book will be a best seller, but different packages come with different promotional and preparation offers.
In other words, their business model is based on you paying them first, and them offering the basics to get your book published, and what happens after that is up to you.
You'll have a book, you will have paid them, but whether the book sells or not, hmm.
I mean but it's better than nothing for most and many Authors who aren't in College or a University and so forth.
In that your average Joe/Jane writer who works at Walmart just doesn't have deep contacts within the publishing world, so these companies popped up to give new shots a chance, while making a buck doing so.
And when companies say 'You keep all the royalties, profits', what that usually means is they're not to invested in whether book flys or dies, cause they've already taken your money.
I mean think about that, if they get no profit from your sales, after you pay them for their services, who are you to them?
Think about that, where as companies who do actually take a % of your profits, they're more likely to be invested in your success, cause if your book does well, so do they.
So to me, from what I can tell so far, that's the main two types of publishing companies..
1. Pay them upfront fee to prepare your book for you, and you keep all your profits
2. Pay them % of royalties from book, which means if you succeed so do they, which means before your book is released, they'll have it professionally edited and so forth.
But publishing companies that just take your money upfront, and who aren't really concerned with quality of book, well...
And these fees can be up to $2,500.00 I've learned.
For a book that may or may not even earn that revenue back.
It's like me saying I'll dress you up all pretty for a date, but you'll have to find your own date once dressed up.
As usual, this is becoming a bit more complex or layered than I thought.
Now I'm thinking before taking book to publisher, might be best to first hire a 'editor'.
To be continued.

I mean for $2,500, I could buy a new computer with printer and all, and other gadgets that could actually really help me publish own book for real..
The thing is, most people I'm sure say what they could 'do with that money', but do we?, or do we just put it on the shelf, and another year goes buy with no progress.
Decisions, plus gotta check out other publishing companies, I'd never stop at just one, there's many, and I'll report on them here so that 'you', the reader can learn, as I am during this process, and oddly enough, the stuff I'm sharing on here could probably become a book...lol

Turns out now these 'We'll publish your book for you' companies popping up everywhere, that's not a good sign, that means they're suckering a lot of people out of money.
Think about it, good Author's of books get an advance, they don't have to pay publisher to help them.
Any fast food publisher will gladly take your money, and tell you 'OK, now you're a published Author', next up!'.
I mean if you've got the extra $2,500-$5,000 in cash to use their services, go for it, but if you don't, think twice about tossing your money away to agency that could care the less about the quality of your book once they have your money.
