Just got done watching the movie 'Biggie'...and saw this scene, so decided to look up the real scene as it really occurred on You Tube. at the B-source awards. This was a volatile time in Tupac's life, he had just been shot months prior, and was serving prison time for an alleged rape case. He released the Album 'All Eyes on Me' while behind bars... No one would pay his bail, and surprisingly Madonna And Tony Danza were a few, but big time celebrities that actually corresponded and comforted Pac while locked up. Then the next big move came when Suge Knight, of Death Row, bailed Pac out. After that occurred, Pac was never really the same, he had a new found rage, created many enemies in the rap game, and is when the whole East coast/ West coast thing really blew up. Like WW2 of rap or the hip-hop world. A lot of artist were lost during this time, as rap quickly evolved from dance tunes, to artists using songs to make threats against one another. Rap would never be innocent anymore after this period. It was no more about just having fun, dancing to a good groove, now rap, the songs made by artists, all carried a 'tag'...a message, like graffiti on the streets. Just one pivotal moment in hip-hop history...more will follow as time allows...
