Just purchased a Diamond Back street bike...and so far I'm impressed...
I haven't rode it outside yet, but one thing I instantly loved about this bike was it's variable frame sizes.
It's seems most bikes they design today, are designed for dwarves.
People who stand 5' or shorter.
To a bike rider, there's nothing worse than a bike that feels like a undersized tricycle when riding.
This bike has large, tall frame and feel to it, and when you raise seat it even feels taller.
I rode it around a bit in store and was instantly impressed after test riding less quality brand.
The bike feels very sturdy...and everything is aligned right.
Only thing is, it doesn't come with kick stand, I didn't notice that until I got home with it...you have to buy kick stand separately.
I paid around $350.oo for this bike...if you get online many Diamond Back hybred bikes start at around $1,500.00
So as far as I'm concerned I got a decent deal.
I purchased the bike so I could live...literally...activity keeps you alive, regardless of age or weight.
My last bike was a Schwinn...excellent all around bike, and was intending to buy another one...but place I went to didn't carry Schwinn's...
A nice bike will entice you to ride, thus exercise, thus stay in shape.
I'm an rural outdoor type anyhow, and cars still often feel like cages to me...there are still times when I still must be out there in the open, on a bike, up close to things, instead of stuck in traffic at intersections.
I'll come back and give performance report after I take it for a spin here in a bit.
