Why do so many white casting directors all think just a like? Watching movie now called 'Outpost', about WW2 mercanaries. WW2 mind you, do you understand the mindset back then?, if not read history. Anyways this group of men are hired and dispatched to find something, and from the get go, all the hired mercanaries are 'white', accept the one super dark skinned from the interior of Africa team member. Again, why? Why do casting directors all think the same. 'Oh, let's find the one super dark skinned Congo looking black person and cast them into the movie to show we're about diversity' My point is why always the darkest skinned, most tribal African person they can find, is always cast in as token character. Do they realize how many shades of people, ethnicities, that there are between lilly white and charcoal black? Why not ever a Native American, or a mixed black person, or a mixed Asian person, or Eskimo, or on and on, why is it, do they always insist on instead casting the most AFrian dark skinned, featured person to play the token? Every single movie is like this, why? And they're always less than average looking or out and right ugly. There are many NFL players of color who actually do look very handsome, but no, no, instead these white casting directors always insist on finding the most bland looking regular charcoal black person to fill the minority token role. It's like a sickness or something, that they all do this in just about every movie where minority required to show diversity. Watch the trailer, and if they show the one black guy in team, you'll see what I mean. *Had the wrong movie by similar name, I've since replaced with proper movie. Your right, seems white casting directors love to find the most ugliest, dull, featurless black male/female actresses to star right alone with the most handsome, cute white one, why?
I mean just look at the guy in video, I'm sure they're a swell person, but just saying patterns, patterns of how 'whites' view blacks, you can see this pattern in who they cast in movies, and according to these patterns, whites still see 'blacks' as all being from Africa, and in sharp contrast to their own features, this is odd cause you see it everywhere in the movies, their, white casting directors patterns, actually give 'us', insight into their minds and how they view others in the world around them.

Also, again, seems in the movies, (and who dominates producing, writing and directing movies in the West, White or Jewish males) evil, or monsters, villians, all seem to love going after white women.
But they can't just be white, they have to be between the ages of say 19-25, or at least looks so on film, and must have above average looks, be athletic and so forth.
You never see older uglier white women getting terrorized by monsters on TV, why, cause no one would care then?
The men in Hollywood for the last 120 years or so, have just decided that no one makes a better on film victim than a pretty looking white woman, and again I ask why?
What is the phycological angle behind that?

Me, myself, I don't see white women, whether younger or older, being anymore the victims of anything than anyone else, so I get turned off a bit now when watching movies that always make the 'white female' the center of everything (The center of the white male's lust who's casting them and directing them and writing the script).
I just get tired of seeing it over and over again. Why not cast some younger, 19ish, vulnerable thin white males to be the victims for once?
And you never ever see younger B males cast as the victims in horror movies, you see them cast as victims of society or social type of movies, they're like victims through proxy 'Boyz in the Hood' type of flicks, but they're never victims as in seen running away from a monster in a movie, society just has not been conditioned to see young B males cast that way.
Most have been conditioned to see young B males cast as the villians, not the victims.
I don't know, I wonder, like in Africa, (if they even make movies over there), how people are cast.
I wonder if Africa has it's own version of Hollywood, or for that matter does Russia?
I don't think I've ever seen a Russian produced, non 'State propaganda' type of movie before.
Maybe I'll try to find one on YT and share it here later.

(It's called 'Officers Wives', you can watch it on YT, the even speak in Russian with English sub-titles)

dizzy sissy cinema casts 'other than W female' as the center of rage or mischief by the villian, in this case the 'closet monster'.

The media really has affected how we perceive people in movies.
Example, watching a movie now titled 'Soul to Keep', it's a scary movie.
Typical college students go off to some house in the woods and the action begins.
But they cast a equally younger 'B' female with the group, you know, the one black person who hangs out with 7 white friends, is how Hollywood or cinema always portrays it.
Now we're all use to seeing younger whites act all carefree, college spirit type of carefree with not a worry in the world, fine.
But we're not use to seen younger B folks, or in this case younger B female cast in the same light. Usually when younger B folks appear in movies it always evolves around some social issue like racism, prejudice, violent crime, ect.
As such, B characters aren't hardly ever just portrayed as being young and carefree, cause there's always some larger social issue pulling at them which prevents that.
So when do see one B female actress cast with the rest, in this movie, you can't help but expect for them to start complaining about racism sooner or later (they don't, but just saying that's how cinema/media has conditioned us)
When you see a B character on film, with other whites, you can just feel the tension inside, like 'OK, what are they going to start complaining about? and it almost becomes a distraction cause we're expecting the one B character to start complaining about something and then blaming it on racism.
That's just how the media has condtitioned many to react when see a B person cast in a film with majority W actors.
But in this movie here 'Soul to Keep', the B female actor actually mimics the youthful carefreeness of the other actors, but how realistic is that?

Alien resurrection is one of the few movies where casting directors actually cast a 'B' male who actually looks or looked handsome, cute, macho, all at the same time.
The black male in this movie does actually look very handsome, and actually has soxy facial features.
Not sure if they'll show him in this trailer of the movie.
But indeed this is very rare where 'white' casting directors not afraid to actually show the soxier side of black.

I have the answer to why people are cast the way they are
The premise of this post is 'Why doe white casting directors always seem to cast the most dull, plane jane looking blacks next to the carefully selected whites on screen and in the movies?'
Well here's the answer.
First, to the one posing that question, whites (and I'm being general here), but whites do indeed want, desire, and need that contrast, in other words they don't want a black person with white features or Persian features, or any Aryan features, cause in their minds that defeats the purpose of casting a 'black' person.
If they wanted a white looking person, with white are Aryan features (Aryan meaning straight hair, and sharper facial features to include varies shades of Indians, Asians ect).
But if they wanted a black person to genetically reflect a white person, in their minds they'd just cast a white person.
And the reason why it bugs you so much when they do this is that you're not pure African black, yet are still categorized as 'black'. And so when you see others who you're classified the same as, but that you feel don't reflect the full spectrum of people of color and features, you get annoyed, and feel through proxy, others will think you to are ugly based on general classification.
In other words you get subconsciously embarrassed by blacks in these films who you're categorized as, but really aren't.
So basically when whites cast someone who they need to be black, they're not looking for the best, most cute looking stunning looking black person they can find, rather they're looking for someone who can be a physical contrast to the white actors in the movie.
In the past it was more hideous than that, but today it's done more subconsciously.

Another example of how 'blacks' are portrayed by 'white casting producers' in moviesStar WarsI mean of all the 'black' males they could of cast, all the different shades of black, males of color, notice they, the white casting producers, pic the 'black' male with the most Africanized features they could find? Read above post for history of this.. Like examples in above posts say, 'white' casting producers, when it comes to casting blacks in movies love 'contrast'...and they still see 'black' as African slave ship type black. If you're lighter skinned, or mixed with Indian or have other features other than African, forget about being cast in a movie, if the casting producers are 'white', cause they only seem to still go after colonial slave ship images of blacks, it's like that version of black is just stuck in their minds like glue. (I mean why would a dude from outer space, still resemble a colonial slave ship African from Earth?) I'm watching this episode right now, and that character 'Fin', is like the ugliest character they could of chosen for that role. I mean of all the people of color, or black folks the casting director could of chosen, why did they consciously decide to pick like one of the ugliest ones they could find?? I mean even to other black folks, Fin, the character, is homely looking. and his homely looks just ruins the scenes for me, cause I'm more focused on how ugly they look than I am the actual character they're playing, it's like his ugliness proceeds the character he's suppose to be playing. There are 10,000 other black folks who could of played that role better and who look better, I mean why not chose this guy here.. I mean this guy here looks way more better. I mean like the post says, how come white casting directors, when it comes to casting people they consider black, why do they always chose the most homely ones to play prominent roles?? Why? I have no problem with the character of Fin being black or person of color, but gosh dern, at least pick a person who looks good.

I think whites think all blacks are just the same, and don't make distinctions within one another.
Cause a white persons idea of black, and probably a black persons idea of black, are probably different.
Is why I don't like that term, cause it's to generic, it's an outdated term in my opinion.

I think catigorizing people by color is one of the biggest sins that came out of slavery.
I think it's the many social and heiarchy beliefs that arose from slavery, that were actually worse than slavery itself.
People act like when slavery ended, all was well, all was 'right', and that people could just go about their lives normally, former slaves that it...wrong.
I think the worst time in American history was the 60 years or so after slavery.

even in the latest (now old) new Star Trek movie, that one B lady on the bridge is bald, and masculine looking...why? Why?
Just read all the previous posts and you decide.

Notice how when black guys get to chose which women appear in film or video, notice how much more cute the women look....
But yet when casting done by Jewish white male types, notice how they always instead chose the most homely type of black women they can find.
Why is that?
I need you, the one reading this, to answer that question for yourself.

Here's one thing (of many) I've observed about the American black/white dynamic. For one, race designation then, still effects how people are defined and perceived today. But here's what I observe about the British form of race designation, and how blacks raised under the British Empire mirror this, and that is people like distinct racial designations, catigories. And you can often see this in films, Western films in particular... Notice how whenever a person, who is designated as 'black' is cast in a movie, they're not mixed with anything, not light skinned, but rather still retain colonial, African appearance. There's deeper implications to what I'm saying here that maybe a few might grasp. Colonial powers, or former such, prefer racial purity....they want a black person, even those cast in movies, to literaly be 'black' or African. View AttachmentAs a person of color, unless you fit into a distinct racial category, you will have a very hard time being cast in any movie. When those raised under the British Empire think 'black' they think African. This includes other black folks in the Southern States of America, who lived under segregation for centuries. To a black person raised in the South, unless you look African with chocolate colored skin, than you're not 'black' to them. You basically have to have a Hershey's bar skin tone in order for other blacks in the South to consider you 'black'...if you do not, they consider you an odd ball....and add to that if you have a different dialect, one not born and bred in the subservant South, then again, you're considered an odd ball to them. The only way lighter skinned 'blacks' or people of color can make it in film is if they happen to have other assets, like are a musician or comedian, or athlete that crosses over into movies. Otherwise if one is light skinned, mixed with Native American or Asian or Persian, people in the Western Hemisphere will not cast you in any movie as being 'black'...cause to them black is African. The above post written back in 2014, and seems to be only getting worse!
You can tell when American 'whites' produce movies, cause they always, still and forever, see the need to inject some African dark skinned type of black, into the oddest of roles, even into the new Lord or the Rings series!
American whites, for whatever reason, like all the posts state on here, when they think of diversity, they always and only think 'black', not mixed, not Asian, nor Arab, not American Indian, Tongan, and on and on, when American whites in film casting job thinks 'diversity', they always and only, in their mind, think to cast the darkest skinned, featurless black person in 'that role', to satisfy diversity needs, is how they process it in their minds.
Look, I'm a person of color, and just here to say, state, not all people of color are jet black and featurless...just travel around the world, or even to places like New York, the Bronx, Miami, Cubans, Puerta Ricans ect and ect..
But no, American white film directors, and their small way of thinking about race, they're always and forever stuck on only the black/white dynamic, as if it's still the 1800's or something....what a creative shame.

Even I, as a person of color, get so turned off by movies that cast a 'black person', where none should be!! Even other black folks are annoyed by that crap.
And America's the only place that does that! You don't see China casting a African to play some Chinese emperor from centuries ago!
