This was the last song, major song, released by Ice Cube, before he made his transformation from the true streets, to the 'Studio streets'.
After this song here, his stuff just never quite had the same authentic sound to it, and instead kind of took on a 'studio pop funk' type of sound.
To me, this song here was the last true raw, NWA, expression from Cube....
