First I'd like to say the man looks pretty decent for being 81 years of age. This is the Twylight Zone, so don't expect the usual scathing, reactive response...just expect thought. 1. I think the mans a 'segregationist', and not nessisarily a racist. A true racist wouldn't hire any black NBA players, or staff or even a black Coach, and the Clippers have all of those, a segregationist, ye, a racist, no, there is a difference. At 81 years old, I'm sure this guy, like others who are 65 or 60 and over, are products of their eras, the era from which they grew up in is so embedded in their belief system, that not even age can make it go away. Just like people born in the 70's, 80's, 90's will take what they learned from the era they were born with them to the grave. At 81 that means he was born in 1933, and means he would have reached his teenage years in 1945, right as WW2 was coming to an end. Donald Sterling was reaching pubity right as WW2 was ending, which means however things were back then, have stuck to his mind all these years, the open racism, the open segregation, Jim Crow laws, and the social stigmas attached to 'race mixing'...right or wrong this is the environment Donald S came of age in. And even though laws have changed over the years, like many others from his era, they obey the law, usually, but still carry their social belief systems around in their heart, and live by them. And the media only really cares about it when such an induvisual is news worthy. This guys behavior and attitude is no secret to millions of 'whites' in America who all have older relatives from this era, but it's normally stuff that just stays in the closet. Being a racial segregationist is not against the law, as long as it's not done on like public property, or with Federal money ect. And also sharing such views can effect ones 'business' relations, and in this day and age where money is 'god', saying things that effect the revenue stream of Corporation can lead to discipline or being driven away from organization, not do to principle, but do to the high mighty dollar. Smart savvy rich segregationist have just learned to go along with social changes, while in public, but still live their segregated lives in private...this is not new. Personally this guy has no effect over my life at all, and I don't 'hate' him, even as a person of color I don't hate or dislike him...I mean look at his girlfriend... She's like Hispanic/Black/Asian mix and young. To me it's more nuts that he'd date such a young lady, in comparison to his age, there has to be like a 50 year difference or more. Can not these Billionaire men ever find ladies at least in there 40's or 50's or 60's?...I mean the man is 81 years old...and Hugh Hefner, the Playboy man does the same thing. There's a lot of attractive, mature, women in their 50's and 60's. Anyways, that's my take on this story. I have nothing against this segregationist cause he feeds a lot of people, black people, with high salaries. He's made a lot of black and white people rich over the years, so he's not a racist. Segregationist yes, racist no.

What I find odd is most everyone out there believes, lives, just as Donald Sterling does in their private lives. Most people are racial segregationist just like he is, most white people live racially segregated lives, when off work, just as Donald does...so why is everyone so shocked?

As a minority, I must agree with Donald Sterling's latest comments about Magic Johnson, which was "Magic Johnson doesn't do enough to help minorities"I totally 100% agree with this comment by Donald Sterling...truth is Donald Sterling has done way way more to help minorities prosper and thrive, than Magic ever has, or will. The only people Magic Johnson helps or mingles with, are those who are already wealthy, famous and known. Sorry, but this guy doesn't help unknown, hard working class types, or minorities...he's just like all the other wealthy and affluent. He has twitter account, and never responds to anyone unless you're a celebrity, or famous, or rich...he won't help a common unknown go to pilot school, or pay off mortgage or college tuition or buy car for someone, so they can commute to work. He's a ginger bread man... So I agree with Donald Sterling's accesment of Magic...

Also, as a minority myself, person of color...but spirit first and foremost...I do have a heart. I'm not cruel, and I do kind of feel sorry for Donald Sterling, I'm not like others who want to slay the man. Why?, for one, I to will need forgiveness one day when I stand before God divine, and I can't slay others who ask to be forgiven, and then expect God divine to forgive me of my sins... Donald Sterling is only human, and the very people I see trying to slay the man, the very community of people who are asking for his head, are no darn better in personal life, or contempt for others like self. I've lived amongst whites, and I've lived amongst SE urban colonial type blacks...(the Willy Lynch types)...and I can without a doubt say that white folks (at least at the time and place I was) showed me way more love and respect than urban type blacks, who have been trained to be more racist towards other blacks than even the Klan. You may find that hard to believe but it's true...it's why so many urban type blacks continue to use and promote that 'ngga' term...and sorry, but it's not a word of endearment, it's simply used by those who have been programmed by ghostly masters to destroy self, by attacking 'person' first, then going after body through violence. The first step of violence is to degrade person, and urban city blacks do that by constantly referring to selves, or any one else of color as 'my ngga'... Once you thoroughly degrade self, or image of self, than it makes killing self, or image of self a lot easier. I'll punch a black m/f in the face for referring to me as the 'ngga' term just as quick as a white person...but yet at least whites have sense enough not to use it in your face, where as bottom feeder urban blacks think you're ok with that term....to me their slime. And I see first hand the destruction, physical damage, physical harm, such types wreak on others around them daily. Donald Sterling the billionare, owner of the Clippers, sure he's a segregationist, but he never killed no one, like black folks do by the 1000's every single year...in Chicago urban blacks gone wild slayed over 500 of themselves...500!! So believe me you, I know who the true monsters are...and it's not Donald...

Donald Sterling is correct in that Magic J does nothing for the common working class person or community.
Celebs help other celebs, help other people with power and money and influence.
If your net worth is less than 1 million, you're pretty much off his radar.
Sterling was right in that he's helped more people of color to thrive, than Magic has.
And he's right, Magic and other Rich blacks, do not fiscally help other minorities beneath them, instead they step on them, and act more uppity than 'Whites' do.
Donald Sterling revealed a lot of ugly truth about affluent upper class 'blacks', who put on a good face in public, but behind the scenes won't so much as lend you a dollar.

Donald Sterling may be a social segregationist, a carry over from his hey days or era, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have important or truthful insight into many things, and or players, and or their lifestyles and ways. I've known Magic Johnson was a scrooge for years, guy never responds to you unless you're a celebrity or some slutty type. Same with other NBA athletes, many of which come from the hood, and people in the hood are not 'activist' minded, some of the most selfish, least socially, fiscally tight, people you will ever encounter are those in the hood, or who have come out of the hood. Believe me I know....people in the hood, just like beggers on the street, like to receive, feel entitled to receive, but yet hate to give. That environment just makes you like that. In the past I've asked Magic, with all the hundreds of millions he has, to help me obtain a simple pilots license, so that I in turn could help inspire others, and them others, but he ignores all and any who aren't rich and famous like himself. An airplane like this would be like 5 cents to Magic Johnson, but he refuses to help common people. In Fact I bet Donald Sterling would be more likely to help a common person of color, or anyone, before Magic would, or any of the other people in the media, NBA players, trying to slay the man.

I'm not a mean person, even if others are mean, I'm not inclined to be mean back to them.
And I feel the same way about Donald Sterling and his situation.
I totally wish everyone had just forgiven the man, allowed him to learn from situation, grow (even at 82 years of age, people can still grow and learn), I wish people had allowed him to learn and grow from situation, instead of treating him like a Vampire.
I personally try to treat others, interact with others, the way I hope some day 'God' will do with me when I'm at his mercy.
I can't or seek no joy, out of persecuting others...even old men like Donald Sterling.
I take more joy out of seeing someone like him learn from his mistakes, the same way I suppose we all expect God, or the Savior to be patient with us, as we stumble through life.
Forgiveness and redemption is so much of an easier and more fulfilling path than revenge and condemnation.
The people who persecute Donald Sterling now, are no better in their hearts, deeds, than he is...and that's what troubles me so.

For some reason, even as a person of color, someone who would not have been welcome in Donald Sterling's home or inner circles...I don't resent the man...not at all.
To me he's harmless and entitled to his opinions.
To me, a true racist is someone who denies another person the ability to get ahead in life do to their race or color ect.
To me, black, Hispanic, gang members on the streets of LA, are far more dangerous and menacing than Donald Sterling, who has never killed or hurt anyone. In fact he's paid many black players millions of dollars over the years and allowed them to prosper.
Sorry, but give me $5 million dollars and I don't care how racist you are or sound...just give me the money.
And while you're being or sounding racist, I'll take that money and buy land, open businesses, and prosper.
I'm a ghost, spirit type of entity...and can honestly say Donald Sterling has opened, created more opportunities for minorities than 98% of other rich blacks have.

They took a poll, and of those polled it has been determined Donald Sterling is amongst one of the most hated pop culture figures of all time.
But not in the Twylight Zone he isn't, obviously they didn't poll me.
I don't hate the man, if anything I feel sorry for him, cause he tried to make amens, and people still crucified him.
He's hurt no one, and helped many others to prosper.
To me, a true racist, denies others the ability to prosper, Donald Sterling helped more 'black' people than other black people even do.
Donald Sterling has probably helped more black families to prosper than even Oprah Wimphrey.
There's no hate for Donald Sterling here, only sympathy.
And I'm the type that would never be allowed to his home for dinner (Supposedly), but I still don't 'hate' the man, and hope he changes and sees the error of his ways some day, like I hope we all do.
