As I try to get back into instrument playing...I find the best way to open up to notes, chords, is to simply play with eyes closed, and just 'listen', 'feel'... Is it coincidence that some of the best musicians have been blind? or Deaf?

Once you learn where the notes are in your mind, through memory, than you'll be able to spontaneously compose or replicate many tunes naturally...

Instrument learning can be harder as you age, cause music is like no other language. And whether learning to play by notes or by ear...you have to let go of everything and kind of start over, as if in kindergarden again. And that's hard for many to do in later years, cause the minds so cluttered with stuff. It's harder for an older person to just 'let go' and learn, cause the mind is so full of trash and clutter, thoughts that keep pulling you out of lesson or session. It's tough at first, cause it's as if you're learning how to walk or talk, all over again, and many get discouraged and don't like seeing self in such a incompetent state. As I get back into music, I'm learning you really have to just dedicate 15 minute blocks at a time, no matter what. You have to begin embedding note memory and placement in your mind again...it will come, the body and mind is way more amazing than average people give it credit for. Extrodinary people already know this, and is why their good at what they do and amaze the rest of us. Also, remember to turn TV off, so that you don't get distracted by Movies, like I just have with the movie 'Top Gun'...

I must say I'm highly disappointed in new Keyboard I got, in that it doesn't allow you to record tracs, your own music that you make up.
There's nothing I hate, despise more, when it comes to modern day thinking, is this idea that everyone needs pre recorded tracs, songs, tempos, melodies...I hate that, I despise it.
Once again taking the creativity out of the induvisual, and assuming the induvisual is to dumb or retarded to come up with their own induvisual sound.
I can't stand pre fabricated beats, songs, rhythms, any of that.
I can't stand being robbed of the ability to create your own stuff, your own sound, tempo, that everything has to be pre fabricated.
Creation is one of the best things about being alive, and when robbed of that ability it reduces the quality of life for many.
Even keyboards they sold 10 years ago, gave user the ability to create their own tracks...now days, at least the one I got, lacks that function, and everything on it is pre fabricated...that sucks.
And I'm upset, and will do a consumer review soon on this product.
I'm to unique (as well as others) to need or want to copy another persons prefabricated beat or rhythm...
I'm very disappointed right now with this product.
I wanted to record my own unique song tonight by combining the Dixie song with Reggae beat, totally unique, but this hardware won't allow me to lay down separate tracks to do so, instead it has it's own prerecorded tracks and chords which I care nothing about cause it's not me.
I have to be unique and do my own thing, not copy or play to the factories pre recorded beats and tempos...
I'm going to scold this company for denying me the ability to create my own sound, rhythms and beats.

People are getting stupider and stupider cause companies are taking the creative realm out of many products they sell. They just assume everyone likes to cheat, and needs help, and can't create stuff on their own.

I'm not some freagin geek, I don't need any pre recorded tones, templates, chords, anything...don't rob me of the ability to create my own stuff, and to leave my own artistic stamp!

People become 'great' in this world when allowed to create their own stuff, leave behind their own signature, whether in the music realm or engineering realm or ect.

I don't need no help at anything...I'd rather create something small, and not so great, but on my own, than buy keyboard with all sorts of pre programmed beats and rhythms on it, and no 'track record' abilities...
I mean what's the fun of playing any instrument if you can't record what you're playing?
Or in particular a keyboard, with so many possibilities, if you can't compose your own tunes for play back.
What's the point?
I mean sure, if you get a regular piano that's one thing, but with a keyboard you expect it to have capabilities to record since keyboards come with all sorts of other instrument sounds.
A keyboard is useless to me if I can't lay down my own tracks to be played on a video or presentation or simply record music CD.
Even keyboards sold years ago came with the basic function of track recording, but I guess.
If you can't create (as an artist) than you're nothing cause you're simply rearranging other peoples creation, not your own.
I want to control, know that I created, every aspect of song I compose, the beat, timing, melody.
I will definitely have to buy another keyboard soon, and maybe sell the one I have, cause again if I can't compose and then record my own songs, than it's useless to me, other than using it to practice piano and coordinate hands, and getting use to note placement again.
I have an older keyboard in storage that has more capabilities than this new one...how disappointing.
They, industry, seems to love taking away more and more creativity from consumers, they just assume everyone is dumb and needs help at everything.
It's why I still value true musicians who play real instruments...that ability is still so valuable.
That's how you truly learn to play music is by playing actual instrument first, learning it inside and out.
All industry is the same and seem to be taking the creative process of life out of everything and religating the creative process to fewer and fewer people, and the rest of us are just expected to only know the basics.
They do it with food, genetically modifying foods, also most food is already prepared now, making people dumb, making urban women dumb, making people forget how to cook anything from scratch.
Cars that can only be working on by computer technicians, smart keys ect.
Technology is making everyone dumb, making every ones brains lazy.
Creativity is the best thing in life, the ability to create, just like the 'Creator' or 'God'.
And man was made in the image of God, and if God likes to create, than so does man, created in Gods image.
Man just likes to create, look at the architecture of homes, castles ect...man loves to create. Look at clothing, car designs, airplanes, bridges, man likes to create.
The happiest people are those in jobs or careers where they're allowed to create, on the other hand, the most miserable workers, employees, are those who work jobs where they create absolutely nothing, and instead perform basic manual labor.
Creating stuff keeps your brain healthy and active, keeps moral high, spirits soaring, but when you're not allowed to create anything, you become depressed.
Oh well, I'll be way more careful next time I buy keyboard and make sure it has composing abilities.
