Ye, the tech guys at bleeping computer . com know way more than I do about internet science, but after reading their comment section, 98% of those responding did not like google removing the www/http from site address.
And One internet site developer explained how it's cause him troubles in his trade.
I now know why I couldn't find this site on google chrome, cause was using the whole address, but when just type in 'twylightzoneboards . net', it came up.
But then what that does is 'hide' all years past posts ext that were made using www and http.
It's kind of confusing for a internet novice like myself.
Bottom line, if people can't find your site, or webpage, what's the point?
That's the bottom line for average internet user with a website, is that they, we, want them to be found, either deliberately or through random searches, like days of old, and what google has done is all but destroyed random traffic.
That is for those searching using their browser.
I'm still deciding whether or not to end all things google.
I mean I got some good email addresses with them, and and would to sign in everyime to use my email, and you tube of course, and just other things I probably don't notice until I can't use.
But I may start making the slow migration to another browser.
Even some of those techies at 'bleeping computer', seemed they've already left google years ago for a variety of reasons.
If google search is only showing you 10% of all information out there, if that, than again what's the point?
It's why even when you go back 6-10 pages on results page, the links simply repeat themselves. And one time the page maxed out and google just said
'We've given you all the relevent information we feel is of value to you'
How does google know what's valuable to me?
If there's 10,000 articles on a subject, I want access to all 10,000!, not just the top 5-8 that google feels I need to see, and usually some box store type sponsored site.
Talk about 'control'..
Google is starting to mimic 'China', cause they're practically 'married' to one another.
Navigating google is becoming more and more like living in China.
it's no wonder all the cool random sites, and blog posts, I use to find online have all but vanished, as far as finding them, cause of what google has done.
Was on one blog site, the complaint section, and all the bloggers were wondering why they couldn't find their blogs, Now I know the answer cause they were typing in www/http...I think I'll go back there and tell them that.
How in the heck can this thing hold $50.00 worth of groceries?
The price of food has really gone up...I deliberately grab small red shopping basket to 'govern' self on spending more than I should...and even in small red basket, still manage to accumulate a tad bit over $50.00 in total costs....
I can only imagine what people with full size shopping carts stuffed to capacity must be paying at register...
I mean if $50 + dollars worth of food can fit in a small red plastic hand held grocery bucket, I suppose one could cram $400-$500.00 dollars worth of food and items in full shopping cart.
Folks who live in rural areas, and have gardens, farms, chickens ect, probably can save over $5000-$10,000 a year just on their food bill...
Well lets see...if one spends say $200 a week on groceries...x 4 = $800 on food, x 12 = $9,600.00 grocery bill per year...
And if one has decent sized family...that's probably about just right...or more...say wife, husband, and 2-3 kids, a dog and cat...I could easily see $10,000 or more in grocery spending every year...
Oh well...what are ya gonna do...
OK, I typed in 'cat', and this post from 2013 came up, and a few others.
2013!, wow, even back then I guess food prices seemed high.
This forum is like a history book, or better yet a photo album of experiences.
Kind of touched by this artist here singing this song
If you listen this song with eyes closed, you'd probably visual another person performing it, but that's what makes song even more touching, cause it goes to show how maluable the human soul is.
We so badly want to 'stick' people here or 'stick' people there based on their looks or ethnicity and just fill in the blank_____, but funny how beneath our own projected and learned and cultural bias, beauty still reigns inside of those who allow it to.
More on this fella later, and actually they're an accomplished performer, musician, actor and more.
And they're not afraid to step outside of the 'mold' society loves sticking us in.
Their spirit to just 'be free', so touched me, that I'll definitely be spreading them around a bit on other sites I have, during these dark times I think we could all use a bit of encouragement and nice clean decent music.
It's sad when you come home, have all this time, and don't know what to do with it...
Like a car sitting in a field with no gas.
The car has potential...but has no fuel in it.
Many people are like that...in that we have potential, but no fuel, no inspiration...so we just sit...and watch the grass grow up around us...
And soon forget how to move, and where we were going to begin with...
There's nothing worse than watching wasted potential go by the way side.
Been going back years, and doing some 'forum maintnance (one thing for sure, I still can't spell)
But been going back and trying to repair some image gaps, funny how this forum has outlasted many of the images or image sources, so trying to go back and replace many images so people can have seamless read.
But that's a lot of years, and a lot of posts, but there's also so much wisdom in this blog forum, happiness and sadness, I mean basically it's life, as we all live it, one day, moment, inncident at a time.
And this blog forum kind of like a photo book, like the above, from 2013, what was your life like back then?
It's funny cause the posts made, the sentiment made in them still apply exactly to this day, many could be 'today'.
I mean I wonder how many ideas have been spawned from this blog forum?, I"ll never know, or get credit.
This blog forum simply provides steady reading for some.
Anyways, it'll take some weeks or months to get it all cleaned up right, if ever.
This place has kind of become like home, but no home lasts forever, and that's what makes it sad, thinking about the day it'll all end suddenly.
Cause when things end, they usually end suddenly, and then just 'gone', as if never was.
But why dwell on that, I'm still here, the Zones still here, Corona hasn't gotten us yet.
Feels like a Saturday night to me, later and back soon.
