I've always had a fascination with Russian aircraft, they always tended to have a futuristic, rocket ship, look to them.
Russian planes always tended to have that 'Transformers' look to them way before The 'Transformers' were created.
In the above video they're bringing back 'The Bear', a cold war prop airplane that has set many speed records...I think 535mph, making it the fasted prop plane on the planet, and this thing was created 50 years ago...very advanced for it's day, and still looks 'sleek' even now...shows how far ahead many aero engineers were back then.
The fact their engineers developed this plane, the engines, all before computers, and calculators...
Anyways, I love aviation so lots more to follow.
