Practical Spanish

I know it's been a while since I've posted on here, but after reviewing some Spanish courses one can order online, and then reading costumer reviews...link

I still think best way to learn Spanish is the way we all learned language as hobbits.

I mean to be honest, I don't even know how I learned English, and can only assumed learned it by hearing others speak it, and by associating movement, jesters, tones, ect with words spoken.

I mean think about it, no one has to teach any of us how to speak our native language, or language of land we're native to...it just occurs naturally.

I didn't have to buy any course to learn my native language, which is English, it just seems by the time I was 5 years old could speak it pretty well without any online course.

How is that possible?

Again I think it's through listening to tones, and associating those tones, which are words, syllables, to behavior.

And you can get that now by watching Spanish TV, over and over and over again, and by listening to Spanish radio, over and over again.

To the point that no matter how fast someone speaks Spanish, you're able to distinguish individual words.

I mean of course you also have to supplement that by other studies, but combined it works, the brain just figures it out like when 3 years old and listening to parents and others around you speak, word/action association.

I mean whatever works I guess.

I'm just not a sit down and study a long course type of person, I get bored to easily.

I mean at this stage in my life, If I could learn to speak and understand Spanish as well as some of the worst English speakers on the streets, I'd consider myself doing just fine.

Have friend who speaks Spanish very good, many actually, but the best way to end a friendship would be for me to ask them to teach me, cause I'd come off as being very dopey and I'm sure they'd loose patience quickly.

I don't think we give our brains enough credit as they deserve.

Babies learn language, and not a single baby ever takes or buys a language course...I mean think about that for a minute.
