Land of the lost - 2009, this movie, why was it ever made???
Ugg, double ugg...why was this movie ever remade, and if so why in this goofy format?
But still I watch it from time to time on DVD Disc cause I guess Like Will F, I just have that geek side of me that can't resist...ugg!

Step Brothers
Another one with Will Ferro in it that should of never been made.
I mean who wants to sit around and watch two pudgy white dudes with curly short 'afros', the characters look to much alike, thus there's no visual balance.
It's just a 'super white' type of movie, culturally I mean, it's like a movie made for those in the suburbs of the late 90's or early 2000's, it's a super square type of movie.
I just can't imagine sitting in a theater, back then, and watching two pudgy unattractive males do physical comedy skits upon each other.
I watched part of it long time ago, must of been bored, and I was like 'gross', I mean just seeing two overfed chubby suburban type guys do their thing on film wasn't my thing back then, nor is it now.
This movie might have worked better for me had Will Ferro been cast with a more physical opposite, a thinner more younger fem looking guy or something, just to provide visual balance.
But in this film here they're both like pudgy fat alpha males, there is no balance, at least not to me and for that reason I don't think this movie should of never been made, and today, I doubt it would be....but back then, during the waning days of big theaters, this movie was rolled out.
Today it would be rolled up.

Blackwater Exorcism
This movie should of never been made, all it is, in my opinion is light corn dressed up as horror, in fact, most exorcism movies are just that, light corn; where you have attractive woman possessed by a entity, thrashing around on bed, but this one was just to blatant about it for my taste.

Beyond the Edge (Why was this movie ever made?)
This has got to be one of the dumbest, slowest, dorkiest, space movies I've ever seen. (I'm sure some are worse, just I haven't seen them yet)
I mean even while opening old mail, I figured I'd past time by playing this movie, nope, didn't work, I mean even while playing, and my attention split, movie still felt dull, slow, and dry and pointless as heck.
And it just drags on and on and on, I mean who has time to just sit and watch a pointless movie like this anymore?
Maybe if restricted to bed or something, but even then it would be torture.
Poor character development, for one, I mean if you don't care about the characters, nothing else will work.
Just to average, dull men in space, so what, neither of which had any flair or likable traits.
Not that the characters are 'bad', they're just drop dead boring.
This movie should have never been made, and if after like 20 minutes of it, it felt like eternity, I can't imagine how long shooting the movie actually took and felt.

Actually, I just watched the trailer, and well, maybe I was a bit to harsh on this film, it actually seems kind of funny, out of boredom, I may, one night, give it another go, I still think it would have worked better if Ferrel had been cast with a different 'step brother'...I just don't like the actor they cast with him. |
