1974, the year this song came out, and model of Pinto was selling The Ford Pinto was really a big part of the 70's. When this 74 model came out, so did this song.

1970 Dodge Dart, and song 'Green eyed lady' both released in same year (click to enlarge) This model of Dodge Dart and this song both came out in 1970. Adds make life seem so refreshing back then. Adds always make the time they're aired seem sanitized, but actually a lot was going on back then, in 1970, it was probably just as turbulent in 1970 as it is now, or maybe more.
