I'm seriously thinking about getting a Go Pro camera. Which costs around $400.00 for basic unit. I've been thinking about getting one on and off for a few months now, some times the urge to buy is stronger than other times. My only fear is spending over $400.00 to buy camera, and then like other devices in the past, it just ends up sitting after a few weeks gathering dust. But one thing the Go Pro camera offers that other cameras haven't that I've owned is... 1. It's durable, can take punishment. 2. Offers lots of attachments which allow you to film on the go while device is attached to your body, head, bike, car, pet, airplane, truck, boat or anything else you can think of. The attachments allow hands free filming like a action reporter. Other video cameras are so dern delicate, and you must hold with one hand which takes all the fun out of filming if alone or wanting to film documentary while riding bike or driving car. 3. Versatile in that you can use as a 'dash cam'. The more a camera allows you to do, the more you're likely to use it. The more creative a camera allows you to be, the more likely you are to share pictures or videos on Youtube, and other social media. And a camera that allows you to be creative tends to 'get you out of the house' more, tends to make you want to go out and explore, try new things, so that you can share adventures later. A camera that allows versatility is like having a friend along with you, in that you don't feel like you're alone knowing you can share images later with lots of people, and maybe even the media if you happen to catch something news worthy. But again all that being said, there's still that possibility of buying it, and still not using it after a few weeks. That's my fear, don't need to waste money device that I'll only use a few times. All that aside, I really do want one and the price seems to be stuck at $400.00, it just won't seem to drop below that. Below is a demo of the versatility of the action video camera.

The Garmin VIRB
Now I'm getting more confused as I begin discovering other action cameras that maybe can give Go Pro a run for their money.
Below is a side by side video of both cameras filming same sequence to compare quality.
But that's just one test and doesn't cover other things like ease of use, battery life, mounts and ect.
I'm actually kind of liking the shape of the Garmin VIRB better than the Go Pro.

Sony AS20 HD action camWow, I found this camera on a Best Buy online site. We've all been so brainwashed to think that the Go Pro cam is the best buck for the bang, when actually there are other smaller, much less expensive alternatives, the one pictured above starts at $150.00 or so, again wow! And it comes with mounts. Read some reviews about it here>>> Sony AS20 action cam reviews (Best Buy customers)And here's a video demonstrating cameras performance...lets watch it together. Another side by side comparison of Go Pro and the Sony AS20 action cam The small Sony cam kind of wins out here in my opinion

Pivot Head Cam glassesAnd the winner is... I love this concept and it's just what I'm looking for. I've watched videos on it, which I'll share here in a bit. I like this camera cause it's super easy to use and hands free, and you can take great 'gotcha' videos of say rude cashiers, poor customer service clerks, can use while driving, while riding bike ect. I mean what can't you do with these in terms of video. Not sure if it's water proof or not. (will find out after more research) This is like the perfect camera for me and what I want to use it for. Can use on roller coaster, or any other fun ride. Can record Police, and or if a Police had it, they could record you as well. I mean this is a great camera, great concept. Here's video on its functions. And another one that's a bit more organic. I think I'll get one of these tomorrow. This is why shopping around on the net, doing research, pays off in the end cause you end up finding exactly what you're looking for. Updated review:6-4-151. The Pivot glasses don't work well in all vehicles, especially ones with a lot of electronic interferences. When you play back audio sounds very scratchy. At first I thought glasses were broke, but just tested inside, with no engine running, and they sound just fine. 2. Don't stare at bright light through the lense for very long, not even bright light bulbs or ceiling lamps indoors. Not sure if lens are ultraviolet light protecting or not. So far happy with glasses, I only record in short bursts. And make sure it's positioned on head properly, or when playing back video might cut out scene you were trying to capture.

I want to get, buy, order, a body cam, the same kind Officers use I want to get, buy, order, a body cam, the same kind Officers use, I mean why not, like a body cam strapped right on your chest, and just hit record whenever out in public. I already have spy glasses, but whenever you wear them, for some reason always angles low, so miss out on footage....I guess I could order another pair, but I really just want a body cam, body cams just have a wider lens view and are more durable. But also have to order 'strap' seperately or make your own, but I don't think they come with straps...and also have to study different models, I've been reading reviews, and some don't have memory card slot, and simply 'loop', but if I get one, I definitely want one with a memory card slot. I just think in this day and age, with all that's going on, everyone, not just the Police, should have or wear a body cam, in plain site, so that people know when they approach you they're on film, and as far as they know it could be being 'live streamed'. Hmm...I wonder if they have a body cam that's capable of live streaming? I think that would be a detourent for would be trouble makers, if they knew they were being filmed live, streamed live to some site. Heck, I should become a body cam affiliate, I could sure sell those things, for sure, or at least try, I mean they make sense to me, for your own safety, to always record everything. Dash cam for car, body cam for body, security cams for exterior and interior of house, home or apartment. If everyone had a cam on them, around them, in their homes, just about all homicides would be solved, think about that. If you're a single woman living alone, or a elderly person, you should have a body cam on you and or interior security cameras...hmm. Maybe I've found my calling. to be continued.

Ye, in the past, I thought it was better to not have people know they were being filmed, but actually, it might be better if people know up front, they're being filmed, that way it detours them from 'acting out', hopefully anyways. Just depends on setting I guess...if trying to 'trap' someone, you don't want them to know they're being filmed, but if like walking home in bad area, then yes, you want person approaching to know they're being filmed, that way they don't tackle you and smell your feet, if they have like a foot fetish.

Another reason for getting 'cams', is seems most viewed videos on You Tube, deal with 'reality video', that way can build audience and monetize channel.
People seem to like 'action' videos of random action occurring, like random accidents, random public fights, random crime, random anything, those videos seem to get the most views.

And a body cam might be able to double as a dash cam, depending on power source. I think body cams have their own power source, they would have to if worn on the body, where as dash cams you have to plug in.
More updates soon.
Added comment:
Yes, just found out body cams come with rechargeable batteries in them, some last up to 10 hours, that makes sense.
But body cams aren't, repeat, are not 'spy cams', if wearing a body cam, people will know you're filming them, and some might not take to kindly to that...who knows, but at same time if act a fool, they'll know they're on video.

Impressed with this multi function body cam
This body cam can also double as a dash cam, and comes with a remote.
The 'remote' pretty much sealed the deal for me, I mean how many times have we all wanted a remote for our cameras so can record video or still shots while in front of camera instead of needing someone to do it for us.
This is a nice body cam for sure....Zone approved lol

This is a nice body cam for sure....Zone approved lol I just ordered this product the Muvi model, it's a nice model. Comments in list form 1. Doesn't look as complicated as other 'body cam' models, but actually has more features. 2. Comes with remote 3. Comes with various 'mounting' equipment. 4. Can buy for under $140.00 5. Comes with Dash cam mounting bracket with suction cup, so can use also as a dash cam. To me, in this day and age, for personal protection, to prevent people from lying about you, everyone needs a body cam, not just the Police. Cause in this day and age, your word against another's means nothing, people lie all the time, even people who attend church lie like it's a habit. So wearing a body cam just gives you extra layer of protection. 6. Always flipping out cell phone camera to record may not always be convient. 7. if happen to video something 'big', could change your fiscal fortune, as these days media is starving for 'controversy'. 8. since works by remote, can also mount to front room of house or apartment, while in bedroom, and turn camera on every time you hear something. Since works by remote, or comes with remote control, options limitless. I just think it's a good purchase, but as usual more thorough review after product arrives.

If seeking a decent dash cam, I don't think you can go wrong with the N2 Pro, below are two different reviews of the product
1. First video review of the N2 Pro
2. Second side by side or 'tri' comparison of 3 dash cams all at once.
Both video reviews are good, but number 2 gives real time comparisons of 3 cams at once.
And the N2 pro starts at around $199.00 at most retail outlets.
But remember this, you get what you pay for, so if you try to go real cheap in price, like one for $60 dollars or less, you'll get what you pay for.
So one thing I've learned over the years, especially when it comes to electronics, pay a bit more at first for quality, and be done with it, rather than buying cheap, and item breaking after 2 days.
