Officer shoots 'good Samaritan' in Arvada, CO news.yahoo.com/colorado-good-apos-samaritan-apos-021051902.html In short (can read Yahoo news story above or search it on your own) But in short, gunman with AR-15 shoots and kills a officer, a good Samaritan then shoots and kills the gunman, but then picks up AR-15, and so when other officer arrives, sees 'man' holding AR-15 and assumes he's the 'bad guy' and shoots him dead. How tragic, the hero ends up getting shot by a cop who thought he was a bad guy. And for the record the hero, Johnny H, was a white guy and age 40. So those who think cops won't shoot you dead just cause you're white, well this proves that's not true. I mean what can I say?? This is why guns and cops just don't go good together, in that no matter your good intentions, the Police often show up with 'tunnel vision', shoot first, and deal with aftermath later. That officer heard 'Armed man with AR-15', officer down, so that officer shows up to scene, sees another man holding AR-15 and just shoots him dead, no questions asked, no command and order, just shoots him dead, then turns out he was the hero. Do I blame the cop?...not really, cause maybe cop thought that dude was about to mow down more people, I don't know, wasn't there. Google or Yahoo or Duck Duck Go ect, what other eyewitnesses said, in fact I'll leave a YT video at bottom, and let's hear audio news of what happened. (watch it on YT) But my thought is this is why I so hesitate to ever get involved, even if the hero, cause I know how cops are when they get tunnel vision. Could barely stand reading the comments on the YT video, this newer, younger, generation of people who comment, to me they're sick, they're automatically making the officer seem like a villain. Some times I think those who leave such comments are either bots, or just paid to hate on the Police to sway public opinion. Sure, the officer made a mistake, but I don't think the officer was 'evil', I'm sure officer thought he was saving lives by taking down man holding AR-15, had he been the shooter, and officer didn't react quick enough, and gunman got off more rounds, then what? Lesson? If a good samaritan, even if save a officers life, leave the weapons alone!! Don't assume just cause 'you' know you're the good guy, that of officers responding will automatically know that to. To me, it's the Good Samaritan, is the one who made the mistake here, and not so much the responding officer, and I know that would be a very unpopular view point.

In response to above posts, there's so much more to owning a gun than most know.
Guns just tend to get most into trouble.
And it troubles me that over a million guns sold last month, and the count just keeps going up, where will these guns eventually end up?
Most just aren't mature enough to handle a gun, don't have the proper mindset, and first time lose their temper want to brandish it at family member or neighbor or whomever, there's video showing this.
This good Samaritan should of known better, what in the world were they thinking??
Active shooter scene, 911 getting dozens of frantic calls of 'mad shooter' with AR 15, he should of known that!
Then he picks of the gun mans gun, why??
Real life is not TV, not McGuiver show, or Dukes of Hazard, this dude lacked common sense.

I guess now being a Father while black, is also on the list of things not to be or will get arrested for no reason at all other than some 'Karen' type reporting you as sumicious
This is what more and more people hate about the police...I mean why not listen to the man, if he says he has receipt, than ask to see the receipt, then summon the Walmart bigot, I mean person who called the police and ask them, 'Why did you call us, what did this man do wrong?'
Then if there's evidence the man stole another item, show the evidence and arrest them, but to just arrest him out of sheer 'EGO', 'We're going to arrest simply cause we can', that's what turns more and more people off.
And sadly good officers are effected by this persona.
Cops need to learn to be more reasonable, guilty people don't act the way that guy acted, I've seen guilty people get arrested and guilty people are just like 'Ah, ya caught me', and it's over, only innocent people behave like Father in video cause they're in such shock of being arrested for no dam reason at all.
And if you're white, or Hispanic or even black, and reading this, than trying being arrested for no crime you committed and see how it feels, to have your day disrupted, now can't go to work, maybe have hobbits waiting for you at home, ect, all cause some stupid Karen type called the cops on you.

Turns out guy was riding the bike around in store and playing loud music and being disorderly, and was asked to leave by the manager, just so happens when cops showed up, is when he finally was calm and yes, paying for the bike, but they weren't arresting him for stealing a bike, I guess they were arresting him for disorderly conduct and trespassing, but my thing is why not then tell him that??,
Officers need to learn how to communicate better, had they told him 'Hey, we're not arresting you for theft, we're arresting you for what you did earlier, disorderly conduct and not leaving store when asked', had the officers said that over and over again, it would not only put it back on that shopper, but it would also defuse the crowd, officers really do need to learn the art of communication

I bet police officers hate the 4th of July also
I can only imagine how paranoid cops must be on the 4th of July, can't tell if getting shot at, or someone else getting shot.
Well I'm not cop, but still always expect something to come flying through my window at anytime.

Not even golfers at the golf course, are safe from the random violence that's taking place now www.cbsnews.com/news/gene-siller-golfer-two-other-men-shot-dead-georgia-course/ 3 men, including professional golfer 'Gene Siller', gunned down at a Georgia golf course on Saturday. (read full article above in CBS News link) I mean come on, you can't even golf now without being gunned down?, has that ever even happened before? A drive by shooting at a golf course?...wow. Crime and criminals no longer confined to the hood anymore, not that that's ever been the case, criminals are everywhere, but usually the more violent ones keep it in the hood, not anymore. But then again, since shooter hasn't been found yet, could of been a jealous angry House wife, gotta wait for the details to come out.

Female Police officer runs over man who was the one who called 911 for help www.cbsnews.com/news/ohio-police-officer-leave-run-over-shooting-victim/ Black guy gets shot, calls 911, bleeding from gun shot, and while still on phone with 911 dispatch, female police officer runs the guy over...read full story in news link above. Talk about having a bad day, the officer who's suppose to save you, bring order to the situation, ends up running the victim over. Did she think that cause he was 'black' that he was the bad guy? Did she think the cell phone he had in his hand was a gun? This needs to be investigated for sure.

I couldn't even watch the whole dash cam video, just couldn't, the wounded man clearly lying in the street, clearly visible with white shirt on, and this officer just runs him over, as if trying to crush his head, I mean how do you explain that?

Police officers are super soxy and hero's to me, cause they show up when you call them, and protect you, and actually look pretty 'Darth Vader' and or 'Sith Lord' while in uniform. I love police officers.
