$3,800 dollars paid for this used Ford 150
Who says you have to get into debt just to buy a used vehicle, or in this case a used pickup truck.
Better to outright own, and not be as cool, than to make payments on new vehicle, look cool to self, but be broke all the time.

I'm getting in that 'I want a newer car' mode again, but this time I want it to be a Dodge Challenger, a used one though...plenty of good, to decent used Challengers out there. Why do I want a newer sports car now? For me, it's more like 'why not?' I mean I've got absolutely nothing else going on in my life right now, all the other stuff I tried doing has failed, so it comes back to just 'me', and my small lane in life. I have no one else to impress but myself now, no one cares what I say, how I look, how smart or dumb I am, none of that matters, I now realize. But what does matter, since nothing else matters, is maybe me at least getting my dream sports car, while at least that aspect of my life still does matter. Either way I'm getting older, don't really like my job, and one day won't be able to afford anything and will be to sick to work, so why not enjoy myself while here? And maybe having a newer, cooler, ride might inspire me to get up and out more, cause as of now all I do is sit at home when not working on the job. I have no social life at all. So ye, maybe I'll see about getting a newer, cooler, sports car, for me, since 'me' is all I can impress or impact anymore.

I got approved for a auto loan on Friday, told them I'd call back today, and I haven't. I think I've changed my mind. I really don't want 500 dollar payments for 48 months. I mean during these economic times that would be a total moral killer.
Sure, I'd have a cool Dodge Challenger, a used one, sitting out in the parking lot, but then what? I really don't chase women anymore, so other than myself, who would I be impressing?
I'd make about 3-4 payments, and then I'd want to get rid of it cause I'd see how unable to save any money, and or see as money supply begins to dip do to high car payments...
So for now, I'll continue driving the two older, but paid for, vehicles I already have. I guess I just was never meant to prosper in this world.

I just ordered one of these auto battery jumper kitsJust ordered a NOCO auto battery boost, I mean everyone needs one of these, cause depending on who you are, it can be hard to get a batter jump for your car if at a grocery store or anywhere else. Especially if a tall, older or even younger B guy, who's going to give you a battery boost these days? Everyone will think you're trying to rob them or set them up, so it's best to come prepared and have one of these babies in your vehicle. Ordering mine from Amazon, and looked at reviews, liked what I saw. I'll feel much better knowing this thing is in my vehicle, but because it's so handy, and costs around 100 bucks, I'll probably take it with me inside every time not driving either vehicle, would hate for a thief to steal it.

I own two older, paid for vehicles right now. I've got money to pay cash for a newer vehicle now, but now that I have the cash to buy a new vehicle, do I really want to? I'm single, and so who am I trying to impress? The women, or people, around here, their opinion of me wouldn't change no matter what vehicle I drove.
And nor would mine of them. Newer cars are such a waste of money....if can't pay cash, why even bother.

Oddly enough, I did end up getting a Dodge Challenger, a used one, but it's decent, and only has 86,000 miles on it and some change. I don't feel any cooler. I did pay cash for it, so it's kind of an investment, in that can always sell if need money badly.

Still thinking about Dodge Challenger, but think mind is made up, and it's 'no' Bottom line is I don't need it, well there's a lot of things we don't need, but the difference is cost. I don't need $250.00 payments for the next 3-4 years during these uncertain times, that would just add such a burden to my life, would make me once again a slave to the system. It's all about timing to, timing and mood, 10 years ago, would of jumped on it, now...not so much, older and wiser and less enthused about a lot of things. When I had other new car, it was fun at first, maybe for a few months, it was a Kia Soul, but after about 6 months it was just transportation that I had to pay on monthly, I use to hate those payments, they get old really quick. But here's the thing, I'm realizing if did save up $20-30 gran in cash, probably the last thing I'd want to do is blow it on a car, I'd rather get land or something. When you get older you start thinking differently, with a car, payments, you're a slave, means you have to work a certain amount of hours no matter what, you're a slave, and as you get older, body gets more tired, the idea of being a labor slave is very unappealing. I'd have to have 100,000 saved up to justify paying 30 gran for a new car. Or, or, if have a two income household, then ye, could justify making payments on a new car, but when married, there's really no one to impress with a hot rod, unless wife or spouse happens to be into hot rod cars, but most wives, seems after married for a while, try to make the man feel less cool than he really is, subtle put downs and all. But ye, no Dodge challenger for me, not this time around, but came close to it...but 'reason' has kicked in. The odd thing is, as stated above, is after all this contemplating over whether I should get a Challenger or not, well, I did finally get one, used of course, but none the less a Challenger. Funny how fate works out that way. Sure, I could of bought a lesser car for cheaper, but hey, I've worked my whole life, had a little extra money for a while, so why not. And speaking of Challenger, I kind of just feel like going for a casual cruise right now.

I don't know, when walking outside or on a bridge and just trying to enjoy the view, and cars keep whisking past you on the road, you realize how ugly and violent vehicles are, engine and all, and even in some cased the people who drive them. Cars are responsible for I'm sure millions of animal deaths over the the years, and maybe even a million human deaths or more...that would be an interesting stat to look up.

Just took a cruise, a short one, in my used hot rod car...just needed to get out. Trying to stop drinking, so instead of buying beer I bought some deli food instead, and a Dr Pepper, that's probably as bad or worse than beer...but what it does is satisfy my bad boy side.
And the beer I did have in place, 3 cans, I just took it with me and laid it out at a gas station for some homeless person to get...so now the place is booze free, no temptation.
As far as my car, it's nice getting into just to take a quick spin, at times, after being cooped up all day.

If your car shakes while driving, a very informative video
Knowing this stuff can save you money at the shop so they're not selling you stuff and services you don't need.
