Candy Bars I don't eat much candy anymore, nor candy bars, but a few have impressed me as of late and I'd like to review those two candy bars below, and maybe more, as long as I don't get fat becoming a candy bar reviewer.

Hershey's Chocolate Almond Bar Just not sure what it is, but lately I've had a craving for Hershey's Almond Chocolate Bars, and boy are they greeaaat! (Oops, wrong commercial) That aside, Hershey's chocolate bars have been around near forever, your great great great grandparents probably enjoyed them in one form or another, heck, years ago I even drove past Hershey's chocolate factory in Pennsylvania (can't believe I spelled that correctly)...but I drove past their plant years ago, what a site or sight it was. Again, that aside, lately I've had a craving for Hershey's Chocolate, not sure if it's do the Corona or what, I just know the candy bar tastes better to me now, than I remember it tasting years ago. As a hobbit, I always found Hershey's candy bars to be boring and bland, so was always a last resort candy bar, I liked bars that were filled with a lot more 'stuff', and junk, that you crave when younger. But now that older and do care about health, Hershey's, at least to me, seem to be just about the right amount of candy, or chocolate to satify that chocolate craving without going overboard. The chocolate in these bars taste great, and rich, and the added almonds just gives it that exotic spin...makes you feel like you're not just eating a candy bar, but that you're getting some health out of it as well...(ye right.. ) Hershey's bars are like to Candy what Coke or Pepsi is to sodas, they've been around so long that they are just kind of the default candy bars of the landscape...like if aliens from another planet came, Hershey's bar would be the diplomat representing candy. And I think others have suddenly developed a craving for this bar as well, is it something they're putting in the chocolate?? And in closing this review, I give Hershey's chocolate bar a big thumbs up for taste, size, and packaging even, the nice slender design of the bar just has phycological effect, makes it feel as if you eat it, you'll be thin too. More reviews to follow as time allows, feel free to share.

Snickers Next up is Snickers candy bar, I had one the other day after not having one for probably over 5 years, maybe 10 years, it's been that long since I had a Snickers candy bar. I was hungry and bought one from a vending machine for $1.25, and it was good, very good, is why writing about it now. In the past Snickers boasted about 'filling you up', they made it seem as if one Snickers bar at lunch could replace a full steak dinner, in as far as making your gut fill full. Not the case, at least not with me, for when I ate the Snickers bar, it tasted very good, but did not give me a 'full' feeling, and that's good, cause that tells me like many products of the past, they've changed the ingredients a bit or a lot, I can't confirm this, but it's plausible in todays health conscious society that they would. One can only imagine the ingredients in Snickers, in the past, that made you fill full and also sent you to early grave. Again, I'd have to do research to know if ingredients have been modified since say 10+ years ago, but that aside the candy bar tasted very good to me, very fresh tasting, and flavored just right and no after taste or anything. And you don't even have to eat the whole thing, cut it in half or in four. Snickers candy bar, as made and as tasted today, definitely gets a thumbs up from me. Here's a old Snickers commercial for nastalgic purposes. From 1982, what a different era that was....
