1950's-60's Sci-fi moves and more

The end of everything?



Forget the title, just know times have certainly changed (or have they?)

Back then people were afraid of radiation and giant locust, seriously, giant locust roaming the landscape do to radiation was on peoples minds back in the 50's and mid 60's do to radiation.
Then the Zombie craze came about during the late 60's with 'Night of the Living Dead'.

I got about 75% through the above movie, not a bad movie actually in that the acting is good, but to me such good acting would of been better served around a more realistic threat other than giant locust.

Back then it was giant locust, today it's the 'C' virus.

Give me the locust any day.

Lately I've been watching the old 1963 Outer Limits show on Amazon.
Seems they'll let you watch a few episodes, and then put up a pay wall.

But hard to fall asleep to these shows when they run commercials where the volume goes up.

That's what evil does, sorry, but that's evil, to boost the volume during a commercial.

How do they expect to sell a product while annoying viewer at the same time?
I just turn the volume down and swear to myself to never buy whatever product on commerical where the volume went up.
