Just not into the NBA anymore, and has nothing to do with politic, just not exciting to me anymore I guess
I've lost just about all interests in the NBA these days, and the NFL and Baseball and most other sports, why?...here are some possible reasons
1. Just older now, so my hero's are gone or faded away and or retired and fat now.
2. No more good 'story lines', that's probably the main thing, where are the interesting story lines that leagues use to have that would pull casual viewers like me in?
3. Never see local impact any of these millionaire athletes make in local area
And other stuff as well.
But specifically speaking of NBA...there's no more compelling story lines for your casual fan.
No more crazy Dennis Rodmans, no more handsome superman flying through the air Jordan's, no more bully you on the court Charles Barkely, or no more mountain man Utah Jazz Karl Malones with distinct size and personality.
Lebron?...nah, Kurry?...nah...they just seem like cereal without the milk to me.
What would it take to pull me back into the NBA?...story lines and characters larger than life, larger than my own life.

And when I say 'story lines', I don't mean political story lines, for politics totally kills the fun of sports, I mean like day time soap opera type story lines between players, cities, coaches, that have more to do with style and or personalities and or 'beef' between one another.
the 90's NBA was full of story lines, but none of them had anything to do with ugly politics...listen and learn.

OK, fine, the Denver Nuggets finally won their first NBA championship... Good for them, I used to live there years ago...yawn.

Just heard on the news where Boston Celtics beat the Pacers to advance to the NBA finals.
But to be honest, sports has never meant less to me than they do now, ever in my life. I just don't care about sports anymore, in the slightest bit...not the NFL, not baseball, hockey or even boxing, I'm just pretty much divorced of all sports now, as of about 3 years ago.
Politics has zero to do with it, its just I think I've mentally outgrown watching others play sports.
Maybe if I bet on games, then I'd have stake in who won, but as of now I don't.
