History, from 'black folk view point' and reality Oh ye, the infamous 'Green book', I wonder how many schools teach about this guide that 'black folks' had to create for themselves for 'safe travel' back in the day, as in the 1960's and back. What was the green book? Read more about it here... www.britannica.com/topic/The-Green-Book-travel-guide But basically it was a travelers safety guide for black folks, back during America's 'great years' when black folk had to be very careful which roads they travel upon in their own nation, and which towns to not be caught in after sun down, in these great United States of America. Is why some want to puke when here Conservative talk radio hosts say there is no such thing as systemic racism, now or in the past. These same types want history taught in the schools, yet conviently leave out parts of history like this. Parts of history where 'white Americans' collectively treated their fellow 'black Americans' with less dignity than stray animals or their pets. And then to pretend this mindset wasn't handed down, please, everything gets handed down within cultures, households and families. Yes, America has made great legal strides to correct the past, but a lot of damage was done, and understanding the past can better help some understand behaviors today by both blacks and whites and all other in between, let's begin this historical journey of American history through the perspective of black citizens rather than White Professors, or Conservative radio hosts.

This Ali dude so ahead of his time Ye, but like many 'black' icons from back then, I think if alive today, would be greatly disappointed in own community, at least within urban part of society. But I guess you could say the same about white icons from back in the day as well. I mean it's not like Silicon Valley whites can relate to rural West Virginia whites either.

Oh, but racism never existed in America, say's your typical talk radio listener
If white, just be glad your grandparents or great grandparents didn't have to go through this, just to travel the nation they were born in...'The green book'...I hope Ron DeSantis includes this in his black history program.
