Songs that tend to replay in my head over and over again

She's gone - Paul and Oats



This song will get stuck in my head from time to time, as it is now.

When I think of this song I think back to that post hippie era, like from 1975-1990.

Where the hippies kind of faded and evolved into something else.

I think of San Francisco, (not today's San Francisco, yuk, but the 75-90 city) back when safe for tourist to tour the place, back when living was affordable there, back when people explored their orientations without politicising it, back when things occurred in back alley hotel rooms and what happened there stayed there.

I just think of a kind of 'cool down' period in America, where people were finding themselves and new identities being formed, and certain old ones lost.

I think of young confused lovers, of all orientations, I think of relationship explorations, but in the context of 'I'm young, I'm soxy to these of those people, I'll explore' (but never going much beyond that in that those who explored eventually would go on to settle onto more traditional relationship, families and neighborhoods.)

I don't know, this song just takes me back to an era that either really existed back then and or that only ever really existed within my own mind.

When this song gets in my head, it's hard for me to get it out, it just stays there cause the melody is so smooth, and so is their voice in this song.

I love this song, and now it keeps replaying in my mind.

'Take take me to the church on time, ime, modern love....

I love this song, and the choruses towards end of song are just stuck in my head now.

The song was sung with so much passion, not sure why after all these years this song has finally touched me so much.
