I've got a pocket full of a lot of cash, but it's for a bill I must pay, but can't pay that bill today, as such I'm tempted to go buy some lottery tickets, like a jack and the bean stock type of thing.

I was tempted to buy a brand new Dodge Challenger last week  I was tempted to buy this brand new Dodge Challenger last week, credit was just good enough for me to get it, all I had to do was show up to the dealer, but at last minute I had a change of mind...why? Cause of the payments, that's why. I still want it though, could still get it though, may get it, or one like it, but hopefully not, cause again, during these uncertain times I don't need the stress of those payments.

Still tempted Still tempted, I mean you only live once, all I'm doing is getting older, and life is hard regardless. And having a new vehicle would just get me out more, cause that's where life happens, is out there, not stuck at home (unless blessed with a loving family). So ye, my mind still isn't made up yet.

But if I do go back in, this time I will not call the salesman or people, and get them all excited just to change my mind.
This time, if I decide I want it, I'll just walk in out of the blue, no pressure, nothing, that way I'll no no one talked me into it.

(continued from above) Well that pocket full of cash, I still have it, but today will do the right thing and go pay a large bill without instead of splurging, cause my luck isn't as good as others, or people on TV who seem to get miracles in their life at the last minute and all is good. Me, if I were to purchase a large amount of lottery tickets, I'd lose on every pick, and probably get fined for littering. So, I'll do the square safe thing and go pay a large bill right now instead of splurging...how boring. |

(Follow up from above post) I think I've gotten over my lust for that brand new car, that shiny red brand new car, I no longer want or need it...I woke up this morning realizing I'm probably just not mature enough to handle such a car, mature as in responsible, I mean I am, but I'm not. In other words when get a brand new car it requires a total adjustment to your life, and my life is already boring enough as it is, but with a new car, other than when driving it, I'd be on pins and needles about finances, always worried about 'Do I have enough to cover payment'. Who needs that stress today? So for now, I've gotten over my lust for the brand new shiney red sports car. |
