If I have 40,000 cash, why the F would I then go backwards and pay of uncollectable debt?
When could go forward and make a life for myself.
Just shows you how pre-historic this guys advice is.

If you follow Ramseys advice, you'll be broke at 40 or 50, and have to start all over again from scratch.
But hey, at least you can pat self on the back, and buy one of his books, or participate in one of his seminars.

Heard the Dave Ramsey theme song come on while in kitchen, instantly turned the radio off, I mean who calls this guy for finacial advice??
He'll tell you to go backwards, to pay of uncollectable debt...why?
If I have 30,000 in cash, why the H would I go backwards and pay off uncollectable debt simply do to what some ancient book says?
