It's scary, at times, knowing that my time has passed, my time to be great at anything or to matter to anyone, that time seems to have passed.

I drive under a interstate bridge, many times, while at work, and always just see one older homeless man parked there in a chair, week after week, after month, as if staked out his own piece of property.
But once they were young, had dreams, aspirations, now look at them...is that the same future that awaits me one day?, to be parked under a bridge, just starring at traffic as it drives by?
If they were an illegal immigrant I'm sure they'd be living in a nice hotel, but maybe they don't want all that...maybe to them, they're living the perfect life.

You really feel the brutality of this world, when older and not loved...
When older and unloved, the world just really starts becoming a scarier place.

Just take care of yourself Not bad, for over 50. Gen X, for sure. I did, however, use Ribbit photo editor to kind of add some tone and depth and color to the image. My only real weakness is that I drink, if I could kick that habit, who knows how much better I'd look to myself.

When older you begin to realize life is really a sad adventure for most.
But most are shielded from that sadness or dwelling on that sadness do to family around them.
But for those without family of their own, or extended, you just deal with it however.
By thinking there's a good outcome, even when there may not be...I guess that's called optimism.
