Hello...
I don't eat fast food anymore...I much more prefer the cooking of my own food. Much more enjoy eating at home, or my own dwelling.
I rarely eat hamburgers anymore...like maybe once every 6 months...if that. I've just lost my taste for them, no more 'Taco Bell', no more Wendy's, McDonalds, Burger King...none of them appeal to me anymore...yet when I drive by them, their crammed with consumers.
It all tastes so fake to me. I so much more prefer going to grocery store and just cooking my own stuff...
Not saying there's not plenty of 'junk items' at grocery stores...just saying I enjoy the process of cooking, warming up, thawing out, own food, and taste of it, over fast food.
I rarely eat red meat anymore..but for the price of a Fast food meal, like a deluxe Burger and fries and Coke, I can get a decent sized steak or lamb or fresh fish ect.
Tastes better, tastes more fresh, and just more healthy.
I actually think the love affair many people have with fast food is more 'phycological' than it has to do with actual taste of product...
Maybe we'll explore this more in detail later...

Today, or this evening, I baked some Turkey legs, and laced them with B-Q sauce...oh how delicious... For the life of me, I can't understand why McDonalds, Burger Kind, and Wendy's are always stuffed to capacity around here, by people perfectly capable of cooking. I only eat fast food in emergency situations, like maybe when traveling and no other choice. But when at home, local, with a kitchen, stove and oven, fast food just makes no sense to me. Yet here I see parking lots littered with McDonalds trash in the morning. Lazy fast food eating urban moe foes. Why not cook? Then wonder why everyone needs 'health care' so early in life, and later on. Is cooking becoming a lost art? Even by women? Do women, expecially urban type women, even know how to cook anymore? Or is it always McDonalds, and Burger King? Cheap food for a cheap mindset I guess...

Tonight it was baked chicken marinated in B-BQ sauce...oh how delicious. So much cheaper than KFC or Popeye's or any other fast food joint.
How can folks not enjoy cooking anymore...it's so much cheaper, and you get so much more bang for your buck...
I took photos of tonight's dish while in oven, that I'll share later, when time allows...

I'm learning every day that my own cooking, baking, is every bit as good, if not better, than that of resturants...expecially fast food stuff. This is my creation...BB Q baked chicken...yum...and it lasts for days...buy it in a pack of like 8-10 for less than one Big Mac...and it lasts for days... As long as I live near a grocery store, with food, I just can't justify delighting over fast food anything...at least not when home...I can understand when traveling...but when at home why would anyone prefer fast food over home cooking?

Today I cooked hamburger...old fashion hamburger...went to meat department, and purchased a 4 pack of patties, for a bit over $5.00...cooked it up, and ate just one. $5.45 cents I think...4...so it's about $1.10 per patty... Less than one hamburger at fast food place. For the life of me I don't understand why folks love cramming fast food down their throats, when they have ovens, stoves, kitchens.... Even women, females, where I stay, seem to prefer fast food over home cooking. Has cooking become a lost art to urban types? Sorry, but I like to home cook. Fast food may be cheap and fast...but I'm not. Every time I pull up to drive through, and see the prices...I just get turned off and keep going. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against fast food workers...it's a job, a industry that employ's many...just saying though, as long as I can cook for myself...I will. Now this hamburger I cooked tonight wasn't the best tasting hamburger I've ever had...I rarely eat hamburger to begin with...but if I do start, I just gotta learn the art of cooking a nice juicy one...and the cheese is also key...the type of cheese you use. I no longer buy that cheap craft cheese anymore...I go for the good stuff now. Why should I spend my whole life being cheap? Someone told me that a few months ago...and it makes sense...in small things. In matters of cheese and sauces, why be cheap? Why treat ourselves as if we're cheap? It's ok to get the best brands, if that's what you want. We instead buy cheap items, as if by buying cheap cheese, the money we save from that over the years will propel us into the millionare bracket...nope. Anyways...I had a good time cooking hamburger this evening...still have 3 patties left.

Today I purchased beef something...not hamburger, but miniature steaks, slim sliced steak, round, like hamburger. Like steak burgers I guess... Came home, or to place...cooked it up...seasoned it... because it was so thin...didn't take long to cook at all... Prepared hamburger buns..and whamo...I had a delicious meal... Like 6 steak patties for around 5 bucks...the price of one big mac or whopper...and my cooking tastes much better...in my opinion... I never thought I'd turn into the type that actually enjoys cooking... I guess it's all about growing, changing, and adopting...as long as it's for the better... Now time to eat...

Home made hashbrowns
I made home made hash browns tonight, for the first time ever...not sure why I never thought of this before until now...
I bought potatoes, baked some a few weeks ago, didn't feel like baking anymore...had frozen hash browns in freezer, metal grader, than occurred to me, Why do we as consumers by hash browns, when we can make them ourselves from store bought potatoes?
So I did so tonight...
I mean are we so lazy now as consumers that it's to much effort to even still make simple stuff like hash browns from raw potatoes? I hope not...and I'm not, now that it just occurred to me to do so...as many seem to be getting away from cooking, I'm discovering the joys of every day or week...
Home made hash browns...yum...

Scrambled eggs mixed in with brown or Spanish rice, yum, that's what I've created tonight.
I ate a McDonalds cheese burger today and fries only cause had to fill out paper work and needed desk.
I rarely eat fast food anymore but when I do, or did, the first thing that stands out is how salty it is, that salt in fast food.
I cook at home now and rarely add salt, never...I add seasoning but not salt.
Fast food tastes so cheap when you rarely eat it.
But I understand we all go through that fast food phase, and the smart ones grow out of that phase quick, if they value their health.

Hey Hardees, lay off the sodium alreadyJust had the mushroom and swiss hamburger and some fries, and let me tell you there was enough sodium in both to last me a whole week! I know this cause I normally don't eat fast food, and it's only when you don't eat it for months, that you're able to notice how much salt and sodium they put in the food. I think I have enough sodium, salt, in me for a week after eating this Hardees meal. Wise up Hardees and lay off the dosh dern salt and sodium, are you trying to kill your costumers or what??

the amount of sodium used in fast food is amazing and gross
You only seem to notice the amount of sodium used in fast food when avoid eating fast food for 8 months at a time...
Tonight ordered KFC micy chicken meal, and Taco bell meal
1. KFC, the amount of sodium used in KFC micy chicken would kill some mammals straight up...
I couldn't even finish eating 3 piece chicken dinner...way way to salty...like committing suicide or something...but you only notice this when on low sodium non fast food diet...no wonder so many people in the West getting sick and dying early if this is the garbage being shoved down folks throats, or rather what folks choose to eat.
Gross...
Fast food is death food...
Think I'll go back to natural cooking, or very low natural sodium prepared meals...
Fast food is poison...take heed...

I'd rather throw out rest of chicken meal at KFC, than swallow chicken which tastes like was doused in pure liquid sodium...how can people eat this stuff...gross...
No wonder so many males and females sickly that are in their late 20's and 30's now...wise up people...fast food is death food...wise the heck up!!

No wonder I'm still as healthy as I am, cause I've avoided the normal crap most generic, pop food bred types shove down their throats...I eat natural, at least most of the time.
But tonight just reminded me of how the food industry could care the less about peoples health...live 30 years, spend while alive, then die, is all they care about...
American fast food would kill most within weeks, in other nations that aren't use to such saturated food preservatives and sodium...gross gross gross...

Learned valuable lesson tonight
I learned valuable lesson tonight...no fast food ever!!
I just was in nastalgic mood, thought I'd try some KFC and Taco Bell...boy was I wrong!
Although Taco Bell not as salty as KFC, but still...
I was wrong...
Had to drink milk, and still can't get taste of sodium, from KFC chicken, out of me mouth...
Death food, death menus, is what fast food is, at least at most places...
