Wow...the G Unit...when they were strong and together...
This song has meaning beyond just video visuals...it represents relationships, friendships, people, when people are young and strong and together, before life seperates them...before contracts, money, gets in the way, and makes enemies out of those who use to be so good together...
What a song...
I really miss North East Rap..North East Rap really had, has, soul to it...
And with that...let's explore some other strong rap songs...

South Central Cartel...boy how things have changed in Los Angeles since these days.
South Central Cartel were like Sound Garden, and Alice and Chains, and other groups were to Nirvana, but to NWA.
They were apart of that whole original West Coast 'gangsta' rap vibe that dominated from the late 80's to about the late 90's, about a decade or so.
Until rappers from other regions started creating, announcing, their own separate identities, like Southern rap (which probably influences more rappers today than any other style)(that kind of loose, no melody sound, where it sounds like guys are just screaming into mic) or 'Krunk' style, born in Louisiana.
But ye, this video is a throw back to 20 years ago when West Coast gangsta rappers kind of ruled and defined the landscape.
And it kind of has a smooth rhythm to it, back in the day rappers often mixed smooth rhythms with hard lyrics.
Not so much now...now days the beat is hard and the lyrics are hard, so you don't get that ironic balance anymore.

I haven't heard this song in about 4-5 years, heard it once long ago, and never heard it again, but it always stood out to me with that 'godfather' rhythm to it by P-diddy.
Kind of an old forgotten about classic to some.
Very rare...you never hear this song played anywhere anymore accept here in the Twylight Zone..

'Through the Wire', by Kanye West
Probably one of the only songs I really like of his, cause it's so real, and he recorded it after nearly dying a car crash weeks earlier.
Artist are their best when 'raw', and uncertain...that's when you hear the true soul come out of them.
This song just touches me, always has, like none of his other songs ever really have.

'We're all in the same gang'
I guess this was the West Coast rapping coalitions response or version of 'Self Destruction' which was made up mostly of East Coast rappers way back in the early days of rap.
I've never heard this song till 20 minutes ago...amazing how after all these years never even new this song existed, which show cases many fabulous rap stars from back in the day, like Easy E, Ice T, MC Hammer, Digital Underground and others who put the East Coast rap scene on the map.
Back when rap had more of a street grove soul sound to it.
Funny how now Ice T, stars in CSI TV show, and MC Hammer became a TV preacher.
Everyone grows and matures, I suppose that's a good thing.

Aricept Hong Kong CLUSYSUESERA swerma Propecia After 5 Years This is why I have to keep 'The Zone' locked down folks, do to stupid meaningless posts like this. Or 'spammers' I guess some would call them. Instead of engaging in current topic theme, they'd rather drop some stupid post with some stupid link that makes sense to no one. Now think about this...if they had a brain, and engaged 'me' or the zone, and got to know this place, then I'd possibly set them up with own section to promote a legitimate brand. But that makes to much sense, so instead these spammer types would rather weasel in, drop some stupid post, which ends up getting deleted. Talk about lack of brain power. Now sadly, I must lock this section down as well.

Yes, I wanted long ago to turn this into a two way dialogue type of forum, rather than a 'blog forum', but learned early on would need a dedicated staff of like 5-10 people to ensure spam didn't pop up every other post, and that others followed decency rules.
That wasn't possible at the time, so instead found self having to 'lock forum down', and making it a read only forum, except in a few cases.
But like criminals on the streets ruin it for street people, make Government have to come up with ever restrictive laws, so do spammers online ruin it for many by them not following decency rules.
Oh well the Zone still goes on.

If some people would spend less time 'plotting and scheming', and instead focus on simply being honest, and real, think how much more easier their path would be in life.

Seems the older generation of 'black men' actually looked like men, now days seems the younger generation of black males always just look 'juvanile' and undeveloped physically and mentally. Is it do to 'breeding'?, how hood women chose to and whom to breed with I wonder? For the record I love, absolutely love this video, and the guys in it look like men to me.

That term 'keep it real', musicians here that term a lot, regardless of genre.
I tell you what though, unless those you're keeping it real for are going to be paying your bills later on in life, the only person you should keep it real for is you and your family.
For when you get older, no longer soxy to the masses, you'll need a real pay check.
So I say keep it real to yourself by making as much money as you can, while you can, cause for some that can be a short small window.
