I new this would happen...
I remember when the last Pope past away...I remember watching his health decline over a whole decade...to me it was undignifying...
So when the last Pope finally went and found eternal peace...the Bishops, who are suppose to be so wise, went out and appointed another Pope just as old and physcally depreped as the one that had just passed...
I was like 'say what?'...
Why not just appoint Yoda?
I think Yoda was like 900 years old or close to it...
My point is, or was to then, was that in this modern day, media, youth driven and orientated era, these old insulated, lost in their own world Bishops need to realize what the people need, Catholics that is, is a new, much younger Pope, like one in their 40's...one who's in shape, healthy, and with a slight build, to re-invigorate the Church...
Quit appointing Popes that look like the grim reaper...
And instead appoint a much younger Latin or dark Haired Pope who projects strength and sturdiness...
These Bishops really need to get with the times, and realize it's not the year 1483 a.d....
I expressed this same sentiment years ago...and had they listened to me, they wouldn't be going through this now...
Some of these Bishops are grossly out of touch with how the world operates now...image is everything...and competition is fierce...
Back in 1483 the Church wasn't competing against the likes of SpiderMan or Superman or Batman or WCW ultimate fighters, or models, or singers, actors, musiscians ect ect...image, today, is everything...
And waneing enthusiasm and membership in the Church prooves that...
They need to appoint a younger Pope that will project youth and confidence, with a stern voice, and one that can be relevant again, go to athletic events, kick a football, throw out a first pitch and so on...
Kind of like how the Royal family of Britian is trying to be more visible to the public, and make themselve still relevent to modern society...the Pope needs to do the same instead of always hiding behind dark curtained rooms...
In a few weeks, we'll shall see...as they have said they would like a new Pope by the 28th of Feburary...we shall see...
And please...for the sake of the church, not another yoda...
