Elevator music just takes me back to a time...(or maybe a time that has only existed inside my head)...but takes me back to a time when style and grace ruled the landscape. When people dressed up to go out to eat, and when everyone was catored to by professional servers, who actually enjoyed their job and wanted to be there. When for an evening, you could be made to feel like a Star, as important as Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin or Sammy Davis Jr. I also enjoy Elevator music cause it has no 'attitude'...all it is is cover music, or instrumentals of old favorites...sometimes mixed in with original songs. But it's all soft and soothing. No funk, no techno beats added or remixing, just old style regular music, played with instruments, by older more mellow musicians who did not have 'attitude'. For some reason I find myself gravitating more and more to this soft, yet sometimes micy, style of music. It's music without 'ego'... And it soothes the soul. It's somewhere in between classical music and soft rock, I suppose... Anyways...if I'm able to find more true elevator music...I'll share it here...enjoy.

Here's some old 'Department' store music...the kind they would play when you shopped in those old department stores from years gone buy... You know...the kind with the esculaters and all... When stores had multiple levels, and as a hobbit maybe you'd get lost, sometimes on purpose... I don't know...I'm just in a real chill mood right now... Music with no attitude is just what I'm in the mood for...good ole fashion 'square' music. Generic music that just lets you be...

To this day...I still don't know how esculaters work...

Elevator music allows me to feel free...like a cloud floating over various era's or time periods. Elevator music sets me free, like no other music really can. Maybe cause it's so 'generic'...so without attitude. And listening to it takes you back to times, in your mind, that maybe did or did not exist, but it feels good to think that they did.

There's nothing like classic elevator music to sooth the nerves on a nice cool autumn afternoon....
Elevator music is my medicine, it just helps reset my soul...
When I listen to it, I feel like everything is going to be ok...
I took this photo a few years ago, while in the desert...a place I kind of miss...so wide open and empty...yet full of wonder...
Out there no one bugs you...
Deleted photo of being in desert...F photo bucket, and other sites so full of greed and commercialism that spoil good photos with their logo...other photo sites don't do that.
Not all people have sold their souls to commercialism and or money...

'My Cherie Amor', one of the very few song remakes that I think is equal to or rivals the original. But the remake only has value, soul, only if one remembers the original version done by Stevie Wonder. Stevie Wonder is what gives this song it's weight, and not so much Stevie as the memories, the pain, the times, people associate with the rhythms of this song. I throw this in the elevator/lounge category of music (light jazz)..but this is the type of song one might here while at some very high upscale lounge and bar. It's a real nice song, don't really like the Cover to the album though, a bit to racy for this genre of music in my opinion. .

Heavenly Voices
Sad, so sad, main stream pop radio stations deny us music like this...

Never heard this one until minutes ago, but it just has that 'instant classic' sound to it.
Why can't songs like this be played on the radio anymore?...
Life, or I should say those who worship money, have so corrupted the human experience...but not here in the Zone.
