I've gotta work the next 4 days, very long dull mundane driving shifts, I'm hating it already.
But got to thinking how slaves must of felt, when every single day of their adult lives, they had to work, no matter what.
I mean how did one stay motivated as a slave, knowing no matter how hard you worked, there was no future, no retirement.
And or being a part of a chain gain after slavery, where the south would arrest former slave males for the most minor of offenses and put them on prison chain gains so that once again industry could get free labor under the guise of 'justice'.
And not just in the U.S. but in Brazil, all around the world, even today, to be a slave wow.
That aside, I still dread the next 4 days at this job.

I actually think, know, past a certain age, mindless work is bad for your health
And also, a lot of the work environment is toxic, literally, the fumes, the plastics, the fabrics. Even some seatbelts are toxic, laced with 'nickel' and other toxic dyes that we're forced to wear against our bodies.
Big industry doesn't care though, cause when we die off, there's many more new illegal border crossers to replace us now.

Engaging in any activity for 12 plus hours a day, is bad for your health. Only slaves do that, or were forced to. so companies pay people a small salary to make them not feel like slaves, I guess.

The one good thing about my employment situation is I'm less than 4 miles from the job site. that really helps save on gas and the headache of commuting.
But once I'm at work, doing my thing, it sucks.

I don't care what anyone says, at least for me anyways, there's nothing natural or patriotic about getting up out of bed and being yanked away from your place, where all is safe, and to go become a labor slave for the day.
Years ago, people had farms, and ye, you got out of bed, but you stayed on your compound all day, you stayed on your farm, where home was.
This going off and working for a wage stuff is so very exploitive, cause you can never ever pay a man or woman what they're really worth.
Life is short, healthy life is even shorter, and paying people low wages, and calling that fair, is a big fat trick of big industry to make you feel grateful for being a slave.

The feeling of being torn from your residence to go to work gets more terrible as you age. It's unatural to be torn from your place like that to go labor at some mindless job that will never get you rich. We've been brainwashed to think that's normal. Not me.
It will never feel normal to me.

I think if older, it's OK, that first night off, after working days in a row, to just sit back and do nothing. It's called restoring your energy.

Just got in from work, what a long day. A long workday can be brutal as you age.
People who talk about raising the retirement age don't work manual labor type of jobs, their usually politicans who get paid by lobbyists and tax payers and other insider trading type of stuff.
Anyways, just got in...nothing has changed, still a working class sucker.

I purchased a scatch off lottery ticket, 'LIFE', but you know what, it's to late and I'm to tired to figure out how to play the game, either I won or I didn't, so I'll just take it to store and check the bar code tomorrow.

Once I'm off work, and have a few days off, I never look at the clock. I have no clocks in my place, and if not scheduled to be anywhere, I never concern myself with time. You can't truly be free if always worried about the time.

I actually got a little free time left, after getting off work, and doing some other stuff, I got some time left and energy to boot. But hard to get into anything late at night when you know another day of work is looming right around the corner or clock.
I'm really surprised at times, that I'm in as good of health that I am at my age, cause I drink, when off, as in when have like 3-4 days off in a row, I drink beers, and sometimes liquor, but very little, yet I'm in pretty decent shape.
I guess I don't drink as much as some, yet probably more than 50% of others? I don't know, I've never studied stats on what the average American drinks?
I know women like liquor, that I do know. I rarely see older women, out of college, drinking or indulging in beer.

It's amazing how one long shift of work can totally devastate your mood and moral How I feel now, and how I felt yesterday at this time, when 'off', and in party mode, is like heaven and hell, not even night and day, but heaven and hell. My up beat mood has just taken a dive after getting in from a long shift of driving/work. And to top it off, stupid me booked a flight on the 3rd day of these long shifts, so that I'll get home late, (terrible mood) and then a few hours later have to go to airport, park vehicle, check in, ect = stress.. It's been a long while since I've flown, and I should of given myself a day off to 'chill', and settle my nerves instead of going from a job I hate, sleep, and then the stress of traveling. But I was drunk, of course, when booked the flight. ------------------------------- You get older like me, you just get set in your ways, your routine, your environment. Sure, may not be grand, but it's that routine and your personal environment that makes you feel safe, especially when alone and don't have a support system. And that's it, is that I feel so very alone right now, that's the scary part I suppose, is feeling so alone as you, I, travel so many miles from my comfort zone, I'll just be out there, no one to comfort me, just out there in the big cruel world, around people with personality disorders, ect, all alone. Oh well, I guess I have no choice but to toughen up, or else, or else I'll have an emotional breakdown, cry out loud.

just got in from work, driving, and boy does my end of work day feel so empty, compared to yesterday. Most will never know what it's like to go through life alone, to come home alone, to go off to work, alone, most will just never know what's that like. I mean most others, even when they say they're alone, they really aren't, they just chose to be...in that they have grown hobbits, or a wife, or spouse or lover, or clubs they're apart of, societies, you name it, but most have no idea to just literally be alone in the world, to never get a hug. Not sure why fate has given me this path, cause it's not like I'm a bad person, just misplaced, I suppose and or who knows. ------------------------ Anyways, home from work, the place is empty, a bit cold and quiet...not that that's bad, but I'd trade all of that for a family of my own instead.
