Not many good things happen to or for me anymore, but one thing good that occurred, which I consider work related, is that company moved it's yard closer to where I live, like less than 5 miles. So now I can leave my place and be at work in less than 8-5 minutes, depending on if I catch traffic lights or not. For a poor working class person with older vehicles, that really does make my life a lot easier, cause long commutes are what destroy a lot of poorer workers who can't afford, nor want the expense of a newer car with payments. I mean heck, I could even ride bike to work, if car broke, it would probably take 20-30 minutes...but just knowing that does relax me...or now I can get a dern moped if have to, and be at work in no time.
I'm just glad the commute factor has been removed as a stress point in my life.....but I'm sure something else will come along to take it's place...🤔

phone app not working, so can't even tell if I work tomorrow or not.
Sometimes I just want to get fired, just so it'll force me into a possibly better reality or future.

Mindless work/labor, just seem to scrub your mind of all creativity
And then when off from work, it does take a while for your 'real self' to emerge again...

I see why people don't want to 'work hard' anymore, cause it's just kind of pointless.
Working hard doesn't make you rich, rather a high salary does.
You begin to realize this as you age.

Whenever working my job, I always say I want to quit and find another job, or need to, for many reasons. But then when off from work, I never feel like looking for another job.
To me, a job is just a job now, at my age. What I need, want, is a independent non labor income source so don't have to earn money hourly anymore.

One of the things I do like about my current job is that when I'm off, they never call me to come back in to fill in for another...at first they use to when company first started, but now they haven't done so in over a year, maybe longer, and that's just the way I like it.

I'm sorry, but having to show up to a job, that barely keeps you above poverty and fiscal dispare, is not biblical, the way conservative try to tell you
In the past, when a man/woman worked, they were working for themselves, on their own land, and not for some pre determined wage that keeps them in poverty for life.
That's just called paid slavery.

i don't know, to be fair, the worst part about work is that night before when have to return, when been off for a few days, that's the worst feeling in the world, almost.
But once there, once busy, usually not so bad.

When asked to come in on your day off....ahh, no
When younger, and brainwashed to think your hard work and sacrifice would propel you ahead, fine; but when older, you realize working on your day off really isn't worth whatever compensation you get for it.
At least to me it doesn't. Health is everything to me, to include well being, mental health and state of mind.
As such, why the F would I want to come in and work on my day off, my day to heal, from the very work environment that diminishes me and my spirit??

⬆️⬆️⬆️ Continued from above
I mean if you love your job, fine, if you work around fun people, fine. If your work environment is fun and rewarding, fine, but if you just work some bland labor job, or driving job, heck no.
I've lived long enough, that I can look back to all the times in the past that I busted my butt, and for what? Pay didn't increase, I wasn't promoted, and whatever extra money I earned from working on day off, has long been gobbled up.
Work doesn't = wealth.
The people or corporations you work for are healthy, their investers are, but the investors aren't working, they're simply trading people and getting rich off of your labor. These large 500 fortune companies could give a squat about us, they keep us poor on purpose, they keep us all needy on purpose. Is why the love illegal immigration so much so they can exploit all this new vulnerable labor.

Days off, for me, is pay
My days off, where I can relax, well, that's pay to me, at my age.
Going in to work on my day off, a day of frustration, for some change, will do what to change my life or circumstances?....not a thing.
If anything, I just risk getting injured or getting in an accident, then what? Home is the safest place to be, especially when single.

Keeping moral up as a driver, can be hard these days, fitness and side hobbies are key, and love and support from your friends and family, if so blessed to have them

All companies are like miniature kingdoms or nations, and within these structures, when people given work place authority over others, it's amazing how much of a tyrannical workplace dictator some become.
