A strange comfort Had another one of those experiences early this morning when it was still dark.
I call it an experience now rather than a dream, cause they're indeed different.
A regular dream is when you know, realize, you're asleep, and view what's going on, kind of like viewing a cartoon or something, and the dreamscape does not resemble your immediate and current environment.
In a dream you're on the moon, or at a park, or underwater or in the sky, dreams take you, us, far away from our current physical reality.
On the other hand
sleep paralysis are just the opposite.
With sleep paralysis, you're totally away of your immediate environment,
as if able to see right through your eyelids, and that's what puts sleep paralysis in a different category all together, aside, and different than dreams.
===========================================
And even in the realm of sleep paralysis, there's different experiences, levels and energies.
1. Many just can't move, yet, as stated above, even though eyes are closed, able to see right through eyelids, able to see, view, current events, but just cannot move, thus the panic mode sets in and natural bodies reaction eventually snaps person out of it.
2. Entity orientated sleep paralysis is when the same thing happens above, only this time, there's a strong feeling of a separate presences, either near by or literally slithering it's way over, inside or on top of you.
--------------------------------------------
And those are the two basic types of sleep paralysis. (without writing a whole book about it)
the kind that freak people out the most are the entity driven ones, where indeed there's another energy field in particle form, that taunts, gropes, grapples with, the one who can't move.
Reactions vary, but even though no physical harm done to the body, eventually you're own bodies 'defenses', snaps you out of it, a scream, a whimper, the slightest disruption, audible disruption, is usually all it takes.
There's nothing more fearful than some strange particle entity, energy fields consuming you and you're not able to move or physically react.
Think of being a insect trapped in a web, and seeing a large spider slowly approach.
(although in the insect world, insects have no standard of beauty, so spiders don't look ugly to other insects, no more or less than other insects look ugly to spiders)
But from human point of view, none of us like being stalked like that, groped, touched, and not being able to react, and so panic always sets in and the body auto reacts to it bey making you whimper, scream, anything to snap you out of it.
--------------------------------------------
Some though, wish they could stay in that state, me, myself and I, for instance, when it occurs, I know by now no physical harm will be done (even though each experience so different funny how quick we forget that, thus the fight or flight mode of panic sets in)
Actually though, there's always the fear of the unknown, thoughts some may think to self in event.
'OK, I know as scary as this is, this thing can't really hurt me, or can it, I mean what if I just remain calm, let it do it's thing, but what if then it becomes more powerful, me more weaker, and it stops my heart, or puts me in a permanent state of paralysis?' In other words while in the 'event', it's hard to be rational when body being invaded, or smothered by a foreign entity, these moments are sudden and very intense when they occur, so it's not like you have time to referee and coach self through the process....like
shobbitding towards a cliff suddenly, you have seconds to decide whether to stay in the car or jump out, and most of us chose to intstinctively jump out of the car/paralysis, rather than ride it out.
The only people, person, who are possible forced to ride it out are those effected by medical conditions or those effected by drugs that dampen bodies ability to react.
I mean think of people who are already physically paralyzed who have these events, what do they do?
Anyways, had an event last night, and as usually freaked me out, yet at the same time comforted by it, being the center of attention or affection from such a alien entity can at times appeal to those who are lonely.
To be continued.
