My prediction came true...posted on here so many years ago, in that today social media, at least with traditional sites, a total joke now...why?
1. Many foreigners managing these sites now, so of course if pro American, they'll just 'shadow band you'.
2. Unless pay to play, forget about posts being shared or exposed
And that's basically it.
Common day to day folks have been driven away from social media, and instead replaced by companies with add campaigns, political parties with add campaigns, and ect.
But if just ordinary individual who wants to communicate idea, forget about it...
So so very sad how human greed always ruins everything...

The small or average person has really been all but cut out of social media, and even now with youtube and all, unless your video is basically professionally produced, with paid for software ect, forget about getting ranked which = views.
This phenom has occurred across the board.
I remember when all these novel social media sites where the new playground for ameature types.
The pros owned regular media, everyone else owned social media, as far as non paid talent, but then the pros, started drifting over into social media, brands first, then class C, then B, then A celebs, then studios and more, then came the whole copyright BS as celebs who hadn't had a hit in years went after people even singing their song on YouTube.
Now I here if you even sing a song of a musician, they must get paid for it, if your video is monetized, or they may simply take video down.
Average people who come home from work tired, or from school tired, just don't have the time to do extensive copyright search, even Attorneys struggle with this.
So as usual the average people get shoved to the bottom of the pit, and those who already have, who already have access to stuff, film crews, ect, have the much bigger edge, cause they already know the technology, already have rights to the music, studio, I mean just look at the credits at the end of TV shows or movies, it's those people who then turn around and create narrative videos about Star Wars or Turtles or this or that, it's them who have the edge over others.
The effect is, once again average people are reduced to nothing more then consumers of the few who have.

And not only that but to stand out in social media, or get 'bumped' by site, or sites, one has to be so very much commercial friendly that you end up sacrificing self.
You basically can't have strong opinion, especially strong social opinion about anything, at least not if American, and particularly if one is 'W'.
If 'W' and on social media, you basically have to 'Love everyone' and come off as some generic, no value geek or nerd.
If not, YT or FB or Twitter will ban you or shadow band your posts.
If 'W' your not suppose to have any grievances at all, you're just suppose to get on camera, if it YT and act very generic.
But if Ethiopian or Palestinian, you can get onto social media and scream as loud as you want about how evil the planet is and how cruel society is, and will be given a social media award, and hailed as a hero.
But if 'W' you're suppose to just smile and play cute, and admit your social privilige guilt to the world, as everyone else slobbers over your admissions.
In about 100 years I think slavery will occur in reverse and it will be 'w''s who are enslaved, and chained, but at least this time the slaves will actually look cute, at least until the age of around 36

It's also hard to get into regular radio media now, it's not like the olden days where radio stations independently owned, now everything is franchised by like Iheart radio, ect, and local radio managers aren't really allowed to just take applications for interesting local talented hosts, but instead syndicate national hosts, for the most part, that's why wherever you go, no matter the city, always pretty much hear the same 10 radio hosts over and over and over again.
And you think life is fair?

And also, I mean, if can't make money off of your creative ideas, art, designs, ect, than what's really the point, some ask after a while.
Students, those in college or high school, do have the edge in that they have 'the time', the energy, and the tools (school graphic art classes ect) to produce stuff worthy of getting watched on social media, but also professionals who are already in the business have the tools and know how also.
They simply take their film knowledge and basically produce mini films for YouTube, thus once again really cutting the little guy/gal out of the process.
Not that some can't still rise up, but the content has to be really impelling, or 'self' has to be really compelling in order for people to be interested.
Every things a top 10 this or top 10 than now on YouTube, and obviously the creators have all the permissions to compare films, and use film footage or music footage or videos would be yanked.
But again, amatures just don't have such connections to get or even know where to begin to get all those permissions.
People already in the industry know each other, those not in the film or creative arts industry have a hard time reaching the right channels, in that they don't talk to common people, they have no reason to, they simply want common people to be consumers of their videos and products.
Social media, sadly, has just now become an extension of Hollywood, only the connected have a leg up it seems

The era of 'Desk top explorers' is pretty much dead and over
Another thing one has to be careful of is being reduced to nothing more then a listener or viewer, and that's how new social media is designed.
Listen, view, consume, as own creativity turns to mush.
It's easy to get caught up in these new professionally produced videos on YT, example
1. 10 things you didn't know about Star Wars
You like the video, then when it ends 10 more videos come up about 10 things you didn't know about this or that, and before you know whole hour lost on watching videos about fake movies and actors.
The video producer earns more hits or views, thus revenue rolls in for them, yet none for you, us.
And sadly, like mentioned earlier, it's harder and harder for average people to compete with the sophistication of those in the film/audio business who have studios in which to produce their stuff from, and they also have the 'rights' to all sorts of pop culture 'cool stuff', that the average person just does not have access to.
And sorry, but most people would just rather here about 'Star Wars', or Marvel Comic characters, than our own personal lives, or what we did on Sunday.
But remember, it wasn't always like that, there was a time when ordinary people ruled social media for about 1-5 years after it's inception.
Once social media become monetized, all bets were off.
The days of getting on social media and meeting a house wife from Idaho, and share recipies, those days long gone, no more likely your post will never be seen by more than 5-10 other 'real' people.
It's gross what they've done to social media, it's not wide open like it use to be.
I mean I suppose now days there's 'apps' that people use to connect with one another, or communities of same interests.
But for sure, the whole era of 'Desk top explorers' is definitely over...so so very sad indeed.

And crying and talking about it does no good, the billionaires that now run these social media programs, and all the money their monetized systems earn, and earn for others, common people basically matter zero anymore...I mean outside of 1. Consuming their products 2. Viewing or listening
The common types in put means zero to industry.
But here in the zone, common thought, slowed down thought, still does matter.
Even other forums annoy me in that I notice stupid moderators always shut down extended conversations?....why?
To me, as evident on this platform, if a conversation takes 1-5 years to wind up, than why not let it play out to natural conclusion?
That's how things are discovered, it would be like telling a scientist that they could only make 5 notes in their journal, then after that they're 'trolling'...huh, what?
To me, moderators on other forums are like demons, in that one can only wonder how many brilliant ideas they snuffed out by 'ending conversations' early, instead of just letting them naturally play out....I mean what are they afraid of?
Humans are dense, even when given small 'power', do you notice they still 'get off' on snuffing out other peoples life force?...
This blog forum was created cause I delight in hearing humans speak until they're 'dead'.
What I mean by that is until 'dead', actually dead, you have something to say and share, and I delight in that energy.
There are so many dark forces working in this world, and is why so many average peoples thoughts get cut off, cause they fear that out of the average could one day come the profound.

The sad thing about even video social media now
The sad thing about even video social media now, is sites aren't designed for amatures anymore.
They've all gone 'celeb', connected celeb stuff, like NFL, pro athletes, pro musicians, pro this and pro that.
I mean think about it, that's why social media first came to be, in that average, daily, regular people wanted a way to shine who couldn't make it in cinema or theater ect.
And at first celebs, musicians, corporations, snubbed social media, they laughed at it.....but now fast forward 10 years or so, and now they live by it, and have totally taken over social media so that average types stand no chance in hell to get their stuff seen, rather it gets buried in favor of professional, studio based, produced, videos.
So once again the average Joe and Jane are back where we began, unable to get exposure.
It's sick, and grosses me out actually, how greed totally shoves average people aside.
Oh well, can't do much about it accept complain to self.

No wonder you tube sucks now, greedy, 'hate america' google corp bought them out...gross...no wonder...I knew something was different... Here's how google executives think. 1. Screw the common man and woman, who are they to us, worms? 2. Money, money, money money money, revenue revenue revenue revenue revenue, and bury any users who don't get us those to. 3. We're tech god, we answer to no one, screw the hourly wage, blue collar types, now pass the wine please. Once again, average people have been squeezed out of the market. Social media use to be our own private gateway, not anymore, now that these sillicon valley corps have bought these sites all up and now only cater to 'money', stars, athletes, corporations ect. Oh well, hopefully some new college type will once again create alternative for average people to connect again, it'll be underground for a few years until some tech geek decides to monetize it, then the cycle begins all over again.

Just did myself a big favor and deactivated my FB account, or at least one of them.
All FB is full of now is lies, spies, cops and robbers.
You don't know peoples intent on there, friend requests and so forth, most seem to just want to be noisy or worse, who needs it?...I certainly do not, I don't need the world spying on what I think or write and then coming to wrong conclusion.
I've learned you just can't reason with twisted minds, just look at what's going on in politics, and they're suppose to be mature, ye right.
I don't need social media fame anymore, nothing good ever seems to come of it for the average person.

Yes, once you become aware that all these tech types who started, created, and or now work for google, FB twitter ect, they control what others can see, their platforms have hi-jacked the internet.
And they've all become like the oppressive leaders of N Korea or China, while enjoying the liberties of America.
They sicken me, the people who squelch out the voices of millions, by shadow banning so many, by not directing random searches to your site or feed or this or that.
It's why years ago, you could just write a blog about 'dogs', and get like 10,000 views, now, do same thing and get like 1 view from a bot.
Yet when before Congress they all act dumb and say 'Err, we don't oppress expression on our sites'..
It's just gross, but also notice all people are the same without laws or regulations to restrain power.

If it weren't for Donald J Trump, twitter would be dead by now
Even though twitter scum (meaning admin) pretend to hate trump, but if not for Trump, twitter would be dead by now, cause those who originally joined years ago, have since moved on, as they to saw their followers list shrink and shrink, and their ability to reach random people shrink.
Trump is the only one really giving twitter relevance anymore, I mean if not for him you'd never ever hear about twitter...it would already be a thing of the past like 'My Space'.

The randomness of people finding your posts on Social media totally stymied by google, FB, ect
The random flow of people just finding your posts on social media totally has been disrupted now by so many factors. Back in the day, before google, and other search engines dominated the landscape, you could post something, and just near instantly get 100's of views, just from people randomly searching for stuff. And that makes sense considering the millions of people on line.
But then google and others moved in, and now they 'control the flow and direction of views, or hits on your site or social media posts'.
Some internet guy did full report on that years ago, and now I see how correct they were.
I mean even on here, in it's hey day, I use to post, and then share on twitter, and would get hundreds of 'reads'...
But those days are gone forever, sadly, cause of how twitter, google, FB ect, you name it, how they all control who and how your posts get out.
Like the people on 'Patreon' said in an email, now days it's all controlled by adds, google, ect, why should they promote you unless you're running their adds or unless they're getting a cut of your revenue or ect.
It's why on YT now, the average persons video only has like 50 views, and that's over an entire year. Yet those dorky 'top 10' illustrative videos have views in the 6 digits, but notice how they all have adds in them.
You have to sell your soul to advertisers now in order to be propelled to the front or seen online...and that's sad, but that's man for you and 'mans' love of money.
I don't even know any regular people who cruise twitter anymore, like in days of old when a novelty.
The internet, when first came out, was were those of us who didn't have a voice went to be heard, but now, that main stream that cut 'us' out before, has invaded social media, and it's gross.
Really gross to me how once again the giants of 'control hell' have once again seperated common people from one another, and now must go through them, once again, to be heard.
I find that sickening, and is why I ignore the news, the media and all that crap.
I'll never give them their due, just like they never give me, us, you, your due.
What worries the main stream, makes me happy.
Their bad news, is my good news.

Everything is fake now
Everything is fake now, like in 'response section' of YT, twitter ect.
These tech masters will even generate their own 'replies', to make it seem people are engaged in their video or this or that...why?
Cause on YT, you now need 1000 followers and and certain amount of video views in order to monetize your videos, so the tech experts simply rig their own audience, own replies, own followers to make it appear they're 'popular'...after all these are the computer scientist, graphic designers, computer tech types that went to school for this stuff, helped design this stuff, no code, java, and more, and so they can do whatever they want to gain an edge on us tech dunces that still have a 5th grade handle on tech stuff.
It's scary though in a way, like the movie 'Invasion of the body snatchers', when you realize you're one of the few actual 'real live people' responding to things, and that's a 'no no' in some places...why?
Cause real live people tend to tell the truth about matters...again a 'no no' in certain areas online.
It's why on YT, if you notice.....
1. a video is posted
2. There's a sudden flurry of like 30-100 replies, than after that nothing....nothing, nada, all the replies just die off.
And they all say the same thing like 'great video', 'Auesome dude, keep them coming' and so forth...very generic responses, self serving responses.
Then someone like me comes along who tells the truth, displays real emotion and curiosity and throws everything off.
Boy has the internet changed from the early days when surfing the web was seen more as a back alley thing low class folks did.
Not anymore, not anymore.
