Review of Albino Farm
OK, I've basically watched enough of this movie, I'm at 53 minutes in and movie is 1:23 minutes long, but I've basically watched enough.
It's not the worst horror movie but nor is it the best.
Some few notes
1. Starts off as if could really be another 'classic' horror movie in the tradition of the Texas Chain saw, but then with introduction of main characters, quickly takes on the whole 'Friday the 13th, typical college student victims type of feel.
2. Two main male characters, the blonde guy is a bit to obnoxious for my taste, they're just a bit to silly, and the other male (and this is a first) is like a hulky Indian Student, as in from India or that area with the accent and all, so kind of like 'India guy meets middle America'...
They make it work though, I mean after all a big bulk of college students now days are foreign, and are indeed from that part of the world, but not sure if in real life such a guy would be hanging out with that crowd, maybe, but don't see it much at least not on film.
It's one of those movies that just teeters on either being really good or really bad, this one teeters more on the almost really good, if just a few more fine tweaks to it.
Also, Movie runs to long, in my opinion, cause after main horror revealed, then it just becomes like any other slasher horror movie, and if have scene 'The hills have eyes', than well.
So with movie, watching it after a certain point can just cut brain off and glide to the finish as far as how many ways can college students be slashed and killed by crazy people in the woods. And of course there are some unrealistic scenes, of course, like Boyfriend (blonde guy) asking his girlfriend to get in a car with 3 stranger males who are totally rural land types.
But not before he asks her to 'flash them' as part of payment request...OK, I doubt many boyfriends would be that 'loose' with their girlfriends, but oh well, it's a movie.
That aside, from 1-7 I give it a 5.5 by today's standards.
It's decent and has some original ideas up and until around the 50 minute mark, then it's just stuff you've probably seen in countless other movies, beautiful college gals getting chased by monsters, and we already pretty much know the males never make it out alive.
Now onto the next movie.

Hansel and Gretel
OK, I'm going to give this one a try now 'Hansel and Gretel'...why?
Cause since a mild, this has always been one of the most spookiest movies to me, can still remember Librarian reading this book to us during library time, when they use to do such things, when we'd all gather around teach and it would be like 'story time' where teacher read book aloud.
Well obviously then and now are way different, and I haven't watched this movie yet, but did see opener and one thing that makes me think it will be decent is that, for the first time in a long time the first female victim doesn't like a Playgirl model!
As such I'm figuring movie has a more realistic feel to it.
I don't know, less than 2 minutes into it, will come back and review later.
added note
After watching about 15 of this movie I must advice even though it's not rated, if I could rate it myself, I'd rate it 'Rated R' for violence....it's definately not the Hansel and Gretel from my childhood...so don't watch this Youtube version of this movie if can't stomach gore.

Only watched about half of Hansel and Gretel, and will say it's pretty violent, you'd never think a movie with such a title would depict violence like it does, I mean sure, yes, a witch that likes to eat people, but in the past subtle enough to be made into a mild's book.
But there's nothing 'mild like' about this movie, that's for sure, people getting baked alive and all, wow...
And Hansel and Gretel are all grown up as well, it's like an adult version of Hansel and Gretel.
I'm only about half way through the movie, but reached the predictable part of the movie, in that once the victims get the upper hand, you can pretty much predict how any movie will go from there.
Every movie kind of the same in that build the villain up first half of movie, then second half of movie watch villain fall...and it's the second half of movies you can usually predict do to that flow.

Satan's Triangle
This one was scary 'back in the day', like when show 'In search of' were airing, 1970's type stuff, back when folks intrigued by 'The Devils Triangle' and when airplanes and ships would really vanish while flying over that area off of Florida and Bermuda.
It's an old hard to find hidden classic...older folks may remember it though.like back during the only 3 major TV network days, so as such Saturday nights on TV were a big deal, since only had 3 channels to chose from, and would fight over which show to watch if had siblings.
Anyways, I'm going to watch this movie, again, cause haven't seen it in years.
I kind of miss that 1970's 'vibe', back when life, the world, was still 'large' and still places to explore.

The Witching - 2016
This one is decent, came out in 2016 but as usual I missed it's premiere.
It's shot kind of like 'Tales from the Crypt', in that's it's a bunch of short scary movies strung together and told by a group of campers while they sit around fire at night.
If you like short tales of horror, than this movie is for you.

The Devil
Here's another one I suggest watching if you like horror/suspense.
Kind of produced during the end of an era when big named actors were cast for horror movies.
This movie plays out very well about some people stuck in a elevator, it will leave you totally guessing about what's going on until the very end.

The Wrong House
This one seems decent, and it's a newer release, but only about 12 minutes into it so far.
The fact that I lasted that long should tell you it's a decent scary/horror movie.
And the fact that up to now, it's not predictable like so many other scary movies are.
The movie feels 'fresh', as in something you haven't seen before, at least to me it does.
And the characters are 'blue collar', again that makes it more relatable.
Anyways watch and enjoy, I'm going to finish watching it now, or some, if not I'll finish it tomorrow.

Plague This one here is decent, not only does it deal with zombies, but it also deals with other important issues in life such as 'relationships', male female relationships and dynamics, and no, not in a 'cheesy' way, but in a deeper way, roles. Stuff like who should protect who? Movie deals with trust, cowardness and more, there's a lot of little movies packed within this movie, or subplots I guess they're called. It's like for every 10 movies I sample, I find maybe 1, sometimes two, that are worth watching and sharing, this is one of them, and no, not Oscar material, but late night if board and feel like getting a bit scared and thinking type of movie for sure. Enjoy.

Ghost Note
This one seems very weird, I posted it here cause I'm still watching after 5 minutes, that's usually when can tell if a movie is worth watching or not, and so far this one is just 'odd'.
No promises I'll like or even watch the whole movie, but as of now, just the beginning of it alone fits into the spookiness of the 'Zone'.

All the wrong friends
This movie here actually not all that bad, I start it was going to be just another 'Hey, we're in college, let's go party in the woods', type of movie, but it's a bit deeper than that.
It's a rare modern scary movie that makes you 'think', by today's standards it's a pretty good watch.
I'd classify it as more 'scary' than 'horror', horror usually involves physical monsters and supernatural beasts, in this movie, I think the true beast is what lays within us.
Anyways check it out.

The thing in the Mist
This is actually one worth viewing..kind of more sci fi/horror...but still full of symbolism, back when big star actors were willing to be cast in such type movies.

It's so hard to find good movies anymore, so try to string together ones that didn't waste my time and hope won't waste yours.
Usually 1 in 9 pan out...so for everyone I post, that means had to shift through 8-9 bombs.
But I do it, so you won't have to.

Ginger Snaps
This here movie worth a watch, if like werewolf movies with a more modern twist to them, and with untraditional characters.
Although to me, this movie falls more in the 'American werewolf in London' type of feel to it.
