The house on pine street trailer
Watching this one now, and I must say it does feel kind of scary.
I've noticed scary movies that use 'sound' as background moise, instead of generic music, do tend to be creepier, and this movie does feel a bit creepy, and that's what you want in a scary movie.

A quiet place part 2
I must admit, this scary movie is very interesting, and even spooky in a sci fi type of way. You wouldn't know it though with you it starts off, small town U.S.A....but that doesn't last long.

You wouldn't know it though with you it starts off, small town U.S.A....but that doesn't last long. The storyline is decent, but these movies continue to project this idea that the only people worthy of being saved, and or whom can garner enough sympothy from others, or another, are pretty faced 'W' women.
I mean notice that 96% of all horror movies evolve around white women as being the targets or victims, and not just any white women, but ones who look like models.
There's a big lust factor I guess, for some, and other phycological factors that spill over into real society.
The one B dude cast in this movie looked very bland (typical), and was taken out earlier, as a cop, protecting a W family.

This is actually proving to be a pretty good movie, it's much deeper than most sci-fi horror flicks.

The monsters in this movie, it's like they're super annoyed by sound, and if a human, and make sound, they come for you, but they don't eat you, or humans, that's what I find odd about the nature of these monsters, they don't eat those they kill, it's like they kill, simply cause they're annoyed and super grouchy.

Digging death....this movie kind of has a 'Bad Ben' feel to it
It's a horror movie where you're not sure if suppose to laugh or be scared.

Grave Encounters
Decent movie.
Starts off a bit plastic feeling, you can't tell if the bad acting is done on purpose or what. And for a while the movie gets hot, then kind of warm towards the end with over acting and dramaterization.
Always the screaming women, and in this one always the hot-tempered male. I think in most scary situations, people are more inclined to be quite, not yelling all the time.
I mean if I'm in a abandoned place, and looking for a member of the group, the last thing I'm going to do is yell out their name...why do they do that in movies?
Stealth is what keeps you safe, not noise.
that aside, movies worth a watch, I saw it on Amazon 'Freevee' or something like that, with commercials.

The deep house...hmm about half way through this movie. Hmm...so far interesting. It's basically like a underwater haunted house type of movie. For sure, it's original in that premise.

Unknown Visitor
This one here will give you some scares. But the best thing about it is that it doesn't just drag on and on and on.
I've been saying this for years, the best horror movies are short ones.
The mistake many directors make or producers, writers, ect, is when they add useless dialogue to horror movies, or any movie as far as that goes, but particularly with horror movies.
I think this one here is under an hour, therefore every scene really does matter.

'Deadware', you may like, you may not.
The first 15 minutes a bit lame, after that, just depends on your taste.

There's two version of the movie 'Night Shift
I first watched this movie years ago on Netflix, and now watching it on Amazon, and the one I'm watching on Amazon has a bunch of added scenes to it.
The version they're airing now is almost like 'the directors cut' version, is my guess, but I don't like as much as the original.
This new version drags on a bit to long, to the point where it's like 'scare and gore just for the sake of scare and gore'.
A good horror movies is short and realistic....cause if it drags on to long you start asking yourself 'OK, why doesn't the character just leave the place?"

The evil dead vs the Exorcist
Which movie was scarier, which movie holds up better over time?
